Wonderful Honeymoon Trip!

We had a great honeymoon trip! We had a lot of fun exploring, going to the Casino, shopping, dining at the different restaurants, experiencing excursions, and lounging at the beach/pool! There is a lot to do at the Atlantis. We loved our Ocean View suite at the Cove. It was so clean, beautiful, and a perfect space for couples. The staff and services were awesome. The staff were so helpful, kind and approachable with guidance and answering any questions. We loved kayaking with dolphins and going snorkeling. We had a great time and went home with a lot of memories!

No AC IN ROOM AND NO HELP FROM STAFF

The room never had AC. Had staff come 5 different times. No help. Was told they would bring a fan. It never showed up. And they weren’t at all concerned with it. No one cared. I had young kids with me who were miserable. Never again!

Chic, comfortable and relaxing

We just wrapped up a 4 day/3 night trip. We had an excellent stay. We had an early flight in, and late flight out, but we were still able to make use of the resort before check-in and after check-out thanks to the Transit Lounge, fully equipped with bathrooms, showers, lockers- I wish every resort had this. The rooms were spacious, with a living area and beautiful balcony. The room came equipped with a mini fridge. The welcome gift included a chic beach bag, 2 reusable water bottles which we made good use of throughout the stay, and slippers. One tip- the water refill stations in the hotel (located by the elevator on each floor) has water that tastes better than the stations by the pool area. One thing that was lacking was umbrellas by the Cove family pool, as well as enough shade canopy chairs on the beach. It would be great to have umbrellas available for the beach once the canopy chairs fill up. We are not morning people and if you arrive to the beach late morning/early afternoon, it is hard to find a canopy chair. I found the food to be decent, pricing actually not as bad as I was expecting, but we are used to NYC pricing. Starbucks actually had the most reasonably priced food, a good spot to get breakfast/sandwiches throughout the day. Our kids loved the waterpark, but also enjoyed the beach and pool, both which were very clean. If you're not into walking, it's a little bit of a hike (10-15 min) to get to the main part of the resort/Marina village. We have stayed in the Royal Towers before, which may be more convenient if you have younger kids, but at this stage in our lives, the Cove was a much better experience.

Ant Problem Unresolved/Very Disappointing

My husband and I were playing in the casino on the back wall with a friend. We placed our drinks on the platform between the slot machines and when I went to grab my drink, we noticed a colony of ants all over the platform crawling in my drink, all over the glass etc. We were all feeling like we had something crawling on us at this point. We talked to security in the casino to make a complaint. As I mentioned no manager or anyone from casino services never called me to discuss this issue. I went to concierge after the 3rd day and asked about a follow up and was told they would address the issue at checkout and a credit would be issued at that time. When I checked out nothing was addressed or even credited to my bill. I didn’t want to have to explain this issue to the front desk at the time of check out. It should have been taken care of before. They kept me on hold and waiting for 40 minutes to speak with different people about the issue which is still unresolved. My flight was at 2:50 and I didn’t leave the resort until 12:50pm. The ice machine on my floor was broke the whole time during my stay and the hallway on my floor smells like mildew. I asked for my bill to be credited for the inconveniences that I have experienced during my stay and they did not take care of me. I have been traveling to this resort for 20 years. It’s very disheartening. I have praised this resort and sent friends and family there because I assumed I was apart of the family to them. I will now go to Baha Mar instead because they do not care about me being a loyal patron at their resort.
