Terrible hotel and staff

Suzanne A on Oct 12, 2024

Terrible customer service... Lies to your face every turn tries to tell you people in your suite and that why you can't get in when you clearly prove no one in room claims your lying and they never said that... Then when you deal with manager, manager claims she was there the night of incident that was never said. Then tells others oh I will investigate but if you were there you wouldn't have too. Treat paying customers less like trash... Then day shift after gets rude and disrespectful... Showers barely work it a spray or drip but you have to be right on it to get any water on you. You can hear all vehicle sounds. No sealing on doors so kids running in halls or neighbors doing anything you could hear in each room... And so help me there any issue with any kinda you are at fault... Pool is in disrepair with only being half full holes in flooring and salt based cleaning system. Toilets run all night instead of filling and sealing. It just keeps running flushing problems. Maintenance when was told had to fix something did but the fact that you know your having extended stay wouldn't you have the room check just a thought before hand so those aren't issues well they are staying with you.

Worst experience

Michael G on Oct 12, 2024

The pillows were 4 couch pillows from ikea, the manager (michele) and edna were rude and ignorant, lie. The cleaning and maitance staff were good. Door had no seal can see light and hear traffic. The manager refused to talk directly to always went third party claimed to investigate but didnt know any of the facts took edna's word on everything even when both people proved it wrong. Door lock had wires melt so showed on a system door was locked, claimed someone was in room when both people staying in room were no where by room. So then ruined a birthday party because rather then figuring out decided to call customers liars forcing both parties to be there to prove and by the time got into room the event was over so a 2k stay cost a 3k event loss... dont stay here if you feel you want an amazing experience. Maintence explained and fixed it in a timely and orderly fashion but manager and edna need gone. Honestly the rest of the staff seemed decent. But no compensation was offered not even a apology which is sad it oh no they never this never we never... please if your gonna spend that kinda money either stay at air bnb.

Great customer service and a very comfortable stay!

litllego (Roseville, California) on Sep 15, 2024

We really enjoyed our time at this hotel. Our room was directly across from the pool, which worried me because of potential noise. Fortunately, the only time it was noisy was when the fireworks were going off at Disneyland and people went there to watch. The family suite was wonderful for my husband, 21 year old daughter and I because she had her space and we had ours. We were also very grateful for Cesar at the front desk because he was able to accommodate some difficult requests we made of him. The location was wonderful! Easy to go back and forth to the park. We will definitely come back to this hotel the next time we go to Disneyland!

A Great Family Hotel

khchang (San Leandro, California) on Sep 13, 2024

We stayed at the Camelot Inn December 2023 for a family trip to Disneyland. We usually stay at the neighboring Best Western Park Place Inn & Mini Suites (BWPPI), but they were fully booked. The Camelot was actually a little lower in price but we were also pleasantly surprised at what a nice facility it was. Disney regulars should be familiar with the row of hotels that face the front entrance of Disneyland. The convenience and distance to the park turnstyles and economy of these hotels can't be beat. Although the BWPPI has the claim to fame as being directly in front of the crosswalk on S. Harbor Blvd. that leads to the Disneyland front entrance, any neighboring hotel is not too far off. As it turned out, the Camelot was a delightful place and a great bargain. Rooms were very clean and spacious. We were also pleased to find a charming little sundries shop just across the driveway from the lobby with just about everything you may need (though no alcoholic beverages/cigarettes/tabacco). Other pleasantries included a self-serve coin-op laundry room, helpful and polite staff, a clean and comfortable lobby. And just in case, McDonalds is right next to the Camelot. As other reviews have mentioned, there was a full renovation done at some point in recent years which makes the rooms very spacious and comfortable. On TripAdvisor you can see photos from the past and you can tell it is a big improvement. We made use of the self serve coin-op laundry room and appreciated that there were plenty of machines to use so that we never found ourselves waiting. As mentinoed, there are plenty of dining options along that stretch of Harbor Blvd. We had also considered Tropicana but some of the reviews talked about hwo loud/rowdy it could be. Now that we've stayed at at least three of the "across the street from Disneyland" hotels, including the two Best Westerns, we can confidently say that Camelot Inn is a very good choice.

Fantastic stay!

edmom (Alberta, Canada) on Aug 27, 2024

We stayed at the Camelot Inn and Suites in a family suite for a week. Having the 2 rooms was a blessing with our teens. They had their own beds, tv and so much space for all of us. Even all sharing the 1 bathroom was not as bad as I thought. The beds are great too. We have previously stayed at the Tropicana and while it was fine, we have been spoiled now by the Camelot and will only stay here in the future. We used the pool pretty much every day, and while it it small, I loved that it wasn’t in the middle of a parking lot, and those firework views were great! Being able to easily walk across the street to Disney (7 minutes door to door) is also something that we would not change. I also want to say how lovely the staff are. The housekeepers are so kind, the valets are friendly, always welcoming and willing to answer questions, and we also interacted with the maintenance staff one evening and they were very friendly and professional. The front desk staff were great. There was a slight mix up with the room we booked through Westjet and their booking system, but they quickly and efficiently consulted and verified that we had booked the family suite and shifted our booking to an appropriate room. As we had just come from the airport where we found 1 of our suitcases had not made it onto our flight and we were a little disjointed, this high level of kind customer service was incredibly appreciated. We will definitely recommend this inn to anyone travelling to Disney!
