Juuussstttt. Riiiiiiijgghhttt!

Having to use the call button to enter the private hotel parking lot was great to encounter, parking spaces for the hotel guests are secure! We got to the hotel early and was pleased to see that we could check in early, room was ready! The staff at the desk were helpful, cheerful and were happy to answer my questions during checking. They have a small store for snacks and knick knacks, watch was definitely used by our party. One downside, only one elevator was operational, which meant during peak hours, there were some waiting for the next elevator trip due to max capacity. They do have accessible stairs but being on the sixth floor, it was a little work out. Rooms were nice and comfortable. Beds and pillows were soft and fluffy and a pleasure to sleep in after a long day at Disneyland. Yes, about and 8 minute walk crossing two intersections. Have a young one, this was great being able to take a short walk to the hotel from Disneyland for a short nap. Bathrooms were nicely done. Clean and bright. Although I have to say, the shower head could have been a little more powerful, but it did the job and there is plenty of hot water. Of course the hotel has a fun water park for the kids and a nice size pool. Pool towels are there for your use. Lots of places to eat nearby and Instacart and Door dash have no problem delivering to this location. Pleasurable experience all and all. I will definitely keep this on my short list for places to stay near Disneyland/DCA. Also, D23 members, check for discounts!!! Prices are reasonable without them though.

Very pleasant stay at HOJO

Beds were exceptional. The rooms were clean with decent views. Our previous visit was 20 years ago. This hotel has aged very well!

Worth it!

kp0nce on May 08, 2024

I was hesitant to book at this hotel because I’ve stayed at a few hotels across the street from Disneyland before and they were all just okay. The Hojo is different and definitely worth what you pay! My kids spent lots of time on the splash pad for a break from the parks. I also enjoyed how clean the rooms were. We had enough space in a 2 queen room as a family of 4 with one of my children sleeping in a pack and play. Overall, all the staff we encountered were friendly and knowledgeable. The walk from the Hojo to Disneyland takes about 8 minutes and I know other hotels may be a bit shorter walk, but for the price and amenities at the Hojo they will definitely be our go to hotel when we want to visit Disneyland.

Nice Hotel, Pool Staff Intense

sammondavis on May 06, 2024

We just finished up a 5 night stay here with multiple other families. First, the reception staff are amazing! They are so kind and accommodating. Our room was in Building 1 so the remodel was nice. The room was spacious and comfortable. My complaint is that they were working on replacing wallpaper right outside our room so while we were trying to take an afternoon rest, there was sanding and work being done right outside our door. The pools were nice and the kids enjoyed them. The pool staff were ridiculous! It was like trying to enter a prison to get into the pool. You have to listen to their rules EACH TIME you enter and the required wristbands for 5 days are annoying. How you expect young kids to want to wear that for multiple days is beyond me. When you FINALLY get into the pool you get reminded to the point of insanity to not move the pool furniture. It's way too much! One of the main reasons we choose this hotel was for the pool and splash pad but the pool staff made it more trouble than it was worth. I doubt I would stay here again.

Musty to fresh room

maepuch808 (Mililani, Hawaii) on May 06, 2024

Was given a room in one of the unrenovated buildings on the second floor. Enclosed hallway had musty smell which perhaps enters the room. Couldn’t open the door to the balcony to air it out. Thought we could stick it out for three nights but after returning after an afternoon of shopping and showering we asked for another room and the manager accommodated us with a room in the same building on the first floor right away. What a difference. The balcony door could open which was nice. My husband who is not a detailed clean freak like me actually commented the new room just felt and looked cleaner overall…cleaner carpet and bathtub. Note the bathroom has only one hook to hang stuff and not much counter space. My husband prefers softer beds but I was fine as I don’t like really firm beds. Staff is really nice and offers great customer service. We normally stay at a hotel right across the street from Disney entrance so this walk was a few more minutes more but very doable.
