Active Advisories
Following American Hotel & Lodging Association's (AHLA) recent announcement of its "Safe Stay Guest Checklist"—and following medical expert guidance to help reduce the spread of COVID-19—all Hyatt hotels in the U.S. and Canada will require face coverings within indoor public areas beginning Monday, July 27, for the foreseeable future.
Public areas may include hotel lobbies, meetings and events spaces, restaurants and bars, and fitness centers. Some guests may be exempt from this mandate, including but not limited to guests with medical conditions, guests consuming food or beverages in restaurants, and children under the age of 2.

A nice hotel within walking distance of Disney. Starbucks and pharmacies are close at hand. Breakfast is above par for your standard free hotel breakfast. Elevators (4) get busy mid-morning. Would recommend for those looking for larger rooms.
No heat in our room
Connecticut814 (Greenwich, Connecticut) on Dec 27, 2024
Overall, we were disappointed with our stay at this hotel. While the check-in process was straightforward, the room itself was dated and showed noticeable wear and tear. However, the biggest issue was the lack of heat! With nighttime temperatures dropping to 40–45 degrees and drafty windows, our room was uncomfortably cold. My daughter’s bed felt like it had a cold wind blowing on it all night, and she woke up the next morning with sniffles. When I called the front desk to report what I assumed was a broken heater, the woman who answered (who clearly gets this question often) said, “Wellllll, it will just get lukewarm in your room.” Why would that be? A thermostat should heat the room to the set temperature. Before I could ask further, she interrupted to say, “We can’t have space heaters—they’re a fire hazard,” and then - mid sentence, without telling me - transferred me to someone else who repeated, “As my colleague said, we don’t have heat.” I have never stayed in a hotel—anywhere—that didn’t provide heat in the rooms. Shivering through the night is unacceptable. To make matters worse, when we checked in, we requested three extra blankets before heading to dinner. When we returned, there was only one blanket in the room. I called to request the remaining two, and after an hour of waiting, no one arrived. I called again, and they assured me someone was on their way. Five minutes later, maintenance arrived—not with blankets, but to “fix our blinds.” (He even showed us the message on his phone.) We explained that we had asked for blankets, not a repair. This level of miscommunication is baffling. Housekeeping was another problem. At check-in, we were told housekeeping would come every other day, so we expected service on Saturday. However, after returning from the park, it was clear no one had cleaned the room—no fresh towels, no emptied trash, nothing. These are basic services we are paying for. Calling at 10 PM for towels and waiting for them to arrive is not acceptable. Finally, the $30 parking fee felt excessive. The only positives were the hotel’s proximity to the parks (a 10-minute walk) and the nice fitness center. However, these do not outweigh the discomfort, poor service, and lack of basic amenities. Unfortunately, we would not stay here again.
