Mostly good, but missed the mark a bit

Stayed here for a week - for the most part we enjoyed our stay. The rooms and resort were clean and well-maintained. Beds were comfortable. Easy to access all the parks and Disney Springs with the buses (a...lthough times in the app tended to be inaccurate, buses seemed to turn up 5-10 mins earlier than the app time, and don't wait around). For a deluxe resort there were a few areas of disappointment: - The pool area was really bad, like something out of a bad roadside motel. Really wanted one afternoon of downtime but stayed for about 30 mins and it wasn't remotely relaxing. Beds were super squashed together, no umbrellas, no side tables for drinks etc. Just not nice and really disappointing - The amenities in the room were a bit poor - I was surprised for there to be no water whatsoever, not even a couple of small bottles before bed. We had to go to CVS to stock up on everything. Toiletries in the bathroom are pretty bad quality - Also found the room a bit small, especially by US standards - The resort is quite far away from a lot of the other attractions in WDW. Stopping via Kidani Lodge on the bus all the time was a bit of a pain. Overall we enjoyed it, but think next time we'd try one of the other deluxe resorts that are a bit more centrally located and hopefully have better pools!

Wow! This hotel is just amazing. From the decor to the grounds with all the animals, the children loved every minute of it. Would highly recommend. Drinks a bit pricey in the bar, but that's to be expected.... We had the dining plan which was great.
