Great experience

Mindytai (Malvern, Pennsylvania) on Sep 28, 2024

We spent our time at Hyatt Ziva Cap Cana for a few days in late September. It was a great experience! The water park is open (somehow it shows temporarily closed on their app - which is not correct!) The water park is not a huge one but is good enough for our lil one. The pool is nice and clean. Staffs are very attentive and friendly. If you are the club members, rmb to try their special drinks in the lounge / or swim-up bar. The restaurant options are limited (compared to some of the larger resort locations like Cancun). But the quality is nice. Their buffer has diff options/ theme everyday. Even breakfast buffet has diff selections. The room is nice and clean. We can commentate with the staffs via what’s app. They respond quickly whenever I make request :) Finally…. If you have extra time, go for the Spa. It is definitely relaxing and i get recharged from the treatment. And the price is reasonable (compared with other resort spa) Overall, I would recommend people to come here for vacation if you plan to stay in the resort for most of the time and doesn’t mind the limited restaurant options.

ZILARA is not for adults!

gustavol278 (Philadelphia, Pennsylvania) on Sep 28, 2024

Hyatt Zilara and Ziva are part of the same complex. However , Zilara is supposed to be “only adults”. How can Zilara “only adult” hotel have the same work hours of Ziva? Bars at the pool closes at 6pm. Lunch ends at 4pm…adults do not have time to eat!! Besides that, a lot of rules ….for example. There was a BBQ at the pool. YES, at the pool area. I grab some meat , chicken and went to have my good at the counter , at the bar in the Club Area. I could not. The bartender told me I could not eat there , at the bar, using the counter….. I sure there are better “only adults “ options in punta Cana with more options of bars, music and less “schedules” to be followed….

Manuel and the resort are amazing.

Anita L on Sep 28, 2024

We stayed at another resort before staying at this one and we wish we would have spent all our time here instead. The difference was ASTRONOMICAL!!!! Talk about amazing. The staff fall over themselves wanting to help and not just because they want a tip but because they truly love their job. The food was fabulous, everything spotless, workers were wonderful and the best part was they had a an activities person who made sure you had a blast. We did archery, pool activities, painted under the stars, had a poker tournament and all because Manuel made sure we were involved in everything making sure we made the most out of our vacation. We would 100% return here as long and Manuel is working there because he made our trip have tons of laughs and wonderful memories. All other resorts should learn from this place. A+++++. Gracias Manuel for making this a perfect vacation for us. We needed it.

Bad Experience

Roberto M on Sep 27, 2024

Edgar Ureñas was pretty bad in terms of services and very rude. He stopped a song for no reasonable reason and just walked away it just speaks to the kind of service you receive at this hotel. The employees seems more worried about protecting eachother than protecting the experience!

Fit for royalty!

Suzanne H (San Antonio, Texas) on Sep 26, 2024

We just returned last night from a glorious, 10 day stay at the Zilara Resort. In a nutshell, it was truly heavenly! From the moment we arrived, my husband and I knew we had made the right decision to stay at this property. The entrance is welcoming and absolutely stunning! The view extends all the way through the lobby to the ocean. We were speechless!! Since we upgraded to the club level, we were escorted to a private check in area that included a full bar and a fresh food snack area. Our bags were whisked to our room, which was yet another delight. All of the rooms face the ocean so we could not imagine there’s a bad room in the place. Our higher floor, junior suite provided an exceptional view of the pool area and the ocean. It’s an incredible architectural design. The balcony was huge, as was the bathroom. Lots of space to move around and not feel cramped. The housekeeping staff was dressed very professionally and provided exceptional service. They always brought us plenty of bottled water and refilled our snacks and mini bar. The mini bar contained boxes juices, water, Coke, Sprite and a few small cans of a local beer. Our concierge arranged for sparkling wine to be delivered to our room daily but we quickly realized we just couldn’t drink that much, so she just sent it as we requested it. The club level pool is ok, but the main pool is fabulous! Much bigger and a lot more chairs. Our favorite days were when the saxophone player entertained us at the main pool around 3:00. What a talent and a real treat! We ate at most of the restaurants on both the Zilara and Ziva properties. Ziva is next door and is a family focused property. Guests staying at Zilara can enjoy the Ziva restaurants but children are not permitted at the Zilara restaurants. The designers who created the interiors of several of the restaurants were absolute geniuses! Really cool designs that quite possibly outdid the cuisine. I’ll leave it to your judgement to find out which those were! Our biggest surprise was the quality of the buffet restaurants. We aren’t buffet lovers and we weren’t excited about eating at them at this property until we actually saw them! Wow! It’s not so much a buffet as it is food creation stations! No guests actually touch any of the food, and it is all behind glass. You’ll be blown away by all of the options! At the end of our stay, my husband and I both agreed that upgrading to the club level really wasn’t necessary. The service is exceptional and guest focused everywhere on the property, so spending extra truly isn’t needed. Our concierge, Larissa, was the epitome of gracious and professional and made us feel like royalty. She’d find us during the day to see if we had any special requests and tended to our every need. She’s a gem. We’d gladly return to this property-without hesitation.
