Here now and looking forward to being back home. Since we stepped into the room the place we could see needed help. Room is awful, broken granite, janky shower door about to fall off, tile in the floor com...ing up when you walk on it, fire alarm went off in the room within 5 mins of being here, roaches in the room. When we arrived at 430 on Sat may 10th, butler showed us around and we asked where you could get food and drinks. Munches wouldn’t serve us at 530 and they close at 6pm. Next was where to get a drink, next to that I went for a drink and they were close and not serving anything but beer or rum he said. Husband drinks beer but he told me that I had to go to the lobby bar to get something. Not a great first impression at ALL. We understand that we were getting there kinda during that transition period, i about had a break down I was so pissed. The pools had cups, trash, bar areas were left at the end of the evening trashed and not cleaned up by staff. Hard to get a drink or service. Staff is sometimes just rude if you aren’t handing them money. Glass pieces and cigarette butts around the pool. The entertainment staff tries to get things going but they need to do something else or add more games. It was quite lame at the pool. Another thing at the pool is the music. If you want to be put asleep the pool side music is for you. If you’re looking to hear something to give a pep in your step and listen to something American, you gotta tip them for a song request that you may or may not get. Food, horrible no sense in even diving in, burgers and pizza are even bad. Best thing we found was fruit or the Diamond Club lunch, fish and fries. We are experienced travelers that have been around and stayed at many different company hotels, first time staying at a Royalton. We will not be back. We stayed at Excellence El Carmen last year but wanted to try something different. If we could have switched, we would. Talked to several people in the pool. Never heard from anyone that they would be back and all had the same issues. This place needs help. Needs a major overhaul. I should have read more reviews and listened to the people on here. swimup room. The things at are great is the water pressure is good, toilet flushes great, a/c is cold and the spa is the best part about this place. Don’t let the travel agents fool you, we seen a group of them getting the red carpet rolled out for them practically and special VIP treatments, two nights ago. I wanted to walk up and tell them how we really felt. If you are staff we’d be more than happy to give you feedback. Oh and this morning decking falling into our swim out chairs.

overall we had a great experience! lots of fun and sun. great drinks, great food, and great service! the workers were amazing and always went above and beyond to make us feel at home. our butler would text... us daily to make sure we were taken care of and if we needed anything at all. the pool entertainment was always fun and there was plenty of shade for us. waves in the ocean were a bit rough at times but it didn’t stop us, we had a blast.

The Royalton chic was a blast! Noemi greeting with such kindness and patience made the beginning of the trip so seamless. Mikra may be new, but she was an acceptional server. She always had the biggest smi...le and was so gentle with my family and I. My favorite part of the trip was connecting with Anderson. Anderson lights up every room that we were in, with his contagious positive energy. He truly made our trip so lively and memorable. We will never forget them as they made our trip THAT much better.

Chely was awesome for the aqua fitness classes and fitness challenges. He was very lively and fun to dance with. He’s the only reason why I’d ever go back. …………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………...……………………………………………………………..
