Spring Break Fun Festivities

Spring break with our friends and families was a blast! The resort had something for everyone (food, activities, etc) During the day, We loved enjoying all of the different pools and the expansive beach. ...In the evenings, the main building is so lively with shopping, restaurants, casino and all sorts of activities! We especially enjoyed the Rock Spa and Hydrotherapy circuit. Our concierge, Judith , was amazing! Upgrading to a rock royalty room was worth it! Wish we had more time to enjoy shows, water park and even more of the resort
Great Spring Break at Hard Rock Punta Cana

We arrived home from Hard Rock Punta Cana yesterday after a 4-night stay. We traveled with a group of 15 high school seniors. To give some background: my hubby and I enjoy all-inclusive resorts. It's... the one place where I don't have to think about a thing, so we've stayed at AI resorts in Riviera Maya, Punta Cana and Bahamas. I hope this review will help some of you that may be worried about going to Hard Rock based on negative reviews... Transportation: we chose to use the On Tour group that the hotel recommends and can set up. It was awesome. We always choose the private transfer so we don't have to wait on other passengers. The vehicle was super clean and spacious. No problem finding them either. Pro Tip: If you don't get a response via email, give the resort a call on their (855) number and get transferred to transportation. They'll take care of you! Check In: We had to wait in a short line for check in--but if you are choosing to travel during spring break, you need to have patience. If you don't like to wait for things: travel at another time. Membership Sales: One of the only negatives I can say about the all-inclusive resorts including Hard Rock is the Sales Pitch. If you aren't interested in 'credits 'or resort membership: just say no firmly. Room: We stayed in the garden view (cheapest category) and it was amazing. HUGE space and bathroom. Super Clean! We were in building 4 which was a great location between lobby and beach! Beach: GORGEOUS. The water is lovely. The red flags were out so swimming was not recommended. I did go to the beach at 7AM to grab a few chairs... Chairs on the beach go quickly: Especially on Spring Break! The servers for the beach area worked so hard and were terrific! Please tip them; they appreciate it and deserve it so much! *** Special Note: make sure to swim responsibly. We saw at least 4 people pulled from the water by the lifeguards --the red flags are there for a reason**** Pool: we were with high school seniors so the only pool I went to had a swim up bar. I have no idea what it was called... but it was a fun vibe. The bartenders did run out of ice every afternoon we were there... but drinks were yummy and again: they work so hard...TIP THEM...they have to put up with a lot and manage it all with a smile! Dining: Food is fine. Every all-inclusive I've been to, the food is fine. You are not going to the Ritz. These resorts are making meals for so many guests... I found yummy things to eat everywhere. LOVED breakfast at Ipanema & the Market, had poolside snacks from Food trucks for lunch which was perfect and we had dinner at Ciao, Ipanema (2X) and Los Gallos. We were not able to get reservations to Zen or Toro ---but most of our friends did. All servers were fantastic! The nightlife was great: we saw the Queen Tribute and spent a lot of time outside at the Eclipse... Bowling Bar was also fun! I would go back to Hard Rock in a heartbeat! It's a huge resort with a little something for everyone. One more thing: I loved being up and out early to watch the resort come alive. You won't believe the amount of work that goes into making this resort 'perfect' for all of us on vacation. The staff delivering towels for the day, the security watching the beach, staff picking up garbage on the beach from the night before, people sweeping the pool area, cleaning the pool , etc. A heart felt smile and thank you goes a long way. The Hard Rock staff works hard. Instead of focusing on every little negative thing: focus on appreciating the people there. Enjoy! Feel free to message me with questions!
