Amazing service and beautiful resort

The service staff was excellent, especially Juan Carlos at the xcelerate pool. My hand was never empty and they all made sure we were always served. The food selection at the resort was nice. My only complaint is the lack of selection at the buffet.

We booked the Exale club and this is by far the biggest waste of money you will spend. You also have to pay $200 to book a cabana at either of the two pools. Dining is fine, nothing over the top. I would put the food on par with a cruise ship dining experience. While the resort does have an “dress code” for dining, it was not enforced. Men are required to wear long pants for dinner, but guests seated near us wore a hoodie, while another meal had a guest with a shower cap. Overall beer/liquor selection is very underwhelming compared to other resorts. We heard many guests had issues with their rooms, and that was also the case for us. The toilet did not work on arrival and maintenance could not fix it. The toilet would continue to fill the tank with water every 15 minutes due to some small leak. Beware of the main pool, the floor is like a washed concrete and will make your toes and feet peel on the rough pool bottom. Most people do not tip at this resort, and I feel like that impacts the overall vibe from employees. The resort is clean and kept up, no complaints on appearance. Staff did a great job considering a hurricane hit days prior to arrival. Overall, the resort is fine if you expect mid-quality amenities and are looking for a budget vacation. Biggest complaint is the constant techno music blasted throughout the day, for 14+ hours non stop. Music would start at 8am and end after 10pm. If you have a room near or facing the main pool, you will hear it all day and night. If you want to relax, go somewhere else.
