The Energy pool at Breathless Riviera Cancun Resort & Spa is closed for maintenance with an expected reopening date of September 20, 2022. During this time, the Xcelerate pool and whirlpool will be available for all guests. All efforts will be made to minimize any impact to guests throughout this project.

Guests 18 years and older are offered complimentary greens fees at select nearby championship golf courses. Guests can enjoy one complimentary round per person, per day when staying through December 31, 2020. Overall great all inclusive resort

Overall great all inclusive resort. Rooms were very nice and clean, however not a lot of alcohol options in the rooms. I've stayed in all inclusive resorts with full bars inside. Our room only had a couple... beers, sodas, and some tequila shooters. Also, the water from the bathroom sink and shower had like a weird sewer smell to it when you turned it on. The AC didn't really work great, but it was enough to keep the room cool. Housekeeping did a great job organizing our room and keeping it tidy. Our room was had a swim up pool which was nice during the day, but you couldn't enjoy it at night because of the night critters that you may encounter. Both Breathless pools were really nice and had great swim up bars. We got excellent poolside service from Vicente, Enrique, Abram, and Victor. The beach itself wasn't great. June is the beginning of the rainy season, so the ocean was full of seaweed. It was not swimmable at all and couldn't enjoy much time at the beach. They mentioned that January and February are usually the best months to go. My favorite bar was the outdoor bar next to the steakhouse, which is where my favorite bartender Roque worked. The poolside and beach food options for lunch were really great. Shrimp tacos are a must try! Most of the bars didn't make their drinks with top shelf alcohol. For breakfast, we mainly went to the coffee shop for drinks and quick snacks. The coffee shop was great and also served gelato and was open 24/7. Since we are UVC members, we also had access to the Exhale lounge which had a top shelf private bar and snacks throughout the day. For lunch, we did eat at the buffet once and the quality of the food wasn't great. A lot of the food lacked flavor. For dinner, we did the specialty restaurants (Italian, Steakhouse, and Hibachi). You definitely see the difference in quality and taste from the buffet to the restaurants. Italian restaurant was great and we got great service from our waiter Edwin. The steakhouse was absolutely delicious and my favorite and the Hibachi restaurant was really delicious. My only complaint was the Hibachi restaurant was hot inside. With the grills on inside, it was really difficult to stay cool inside. We did schedule a massage and hydrotherapy session with the spa. Although not included in the all inclusive package, I highly recommend it. As Unlimited Vacation Club members, I don't feel like we got the concierge value that we were expecting. Our UVC rep Luis was not very helpful at all. He kept pushing us to book the massage packages and said he would assist with the restaurant reservations as well. We didn't get confirmations on either so I had to constantly go into the Exhale lounge to confirm. I thought he would be our personal concierge, but we only saw him maybe twice during our entire 5 day stay. Overall, the concierge ladies at the Exhale lounge definitely made our stay great, but our UVC rep Luis wasn't very helpful. I would highly recommend this resort to anyone who wants good quality and amazing views. They made the check in process great, however they left me completely disappointed with the check out process. We had booked our stay and transportation through UVC. The transportation for our check out was booked and confirmed for 7:50AM with the company AmStar. We get awoken that morning at 7AM that the transportation had arrived at 7AM and was leaving in 5 minutes. We unfortunately missed our transportation because it showed up 45 mins early. When we finally arrived at the lobby with our luggage, the concierge had not given us a solution to the issue with the transportation. We had to book a ride through uber which had a long wait time. This made us cut it close to arriving on time for our flight. I understand that AmStar is at fault and not the resort, but as UVC, I would have appreciated the concierge taking the initiative and offering us a replacement transport to ensure we made it on time for our flight. All they had were apologies with no actions.
Great Mix of Relaxation & Activities

We had an awesome time. The rooms are nice with an awesome shower. Ivan was great with the activities. Manny and Gibran kept our glasses full. Food was okay and on-par with most all-inclusives. We enjoyed ...the Two nice large pools with swim up bars . Great service and nice, clean resort.
