We had a great time at this resort. The best part was the food. We've stayed at many all-inclusives, but this buffet was far and away the best! There was a large variety of types of food (Asian, Italian, American, Indian, Mexican, etc.) and it was all delicious! We loved our waiters: Francisco, Lydia, Emilia, Alberto, and Jorge. Our boys enjoyed the beach and the waterpark, but we spent most of our time in the smaller pool. We were always able to get a pool chair and we never had to wait too long at the pool bar. Saul at the pool bar makes great Miami vices! We also enjoyed blue Hawaiians from Jose at the lobby bar. We stayed for 5 nights, which included 2 reservations at one of their specialty restaurants. We ended up going to one of their Mexican restaurants, Tequila, for both of them. We highly recommend the passion fruit margaritas and cappucinos. They also had someone making homemade tortillas and it turned into the best taco I've ever had! We enjoyed the resort so much, that we didn't end up leaving. We did look at tours, and the prices were really reasonable. We did take a bike tour of the resort with Marco, which was really enjoyable. We would 100% come back to this resort!
Worst “5-Star” Hotel

This was my first time at a Bahía hotel and I’m sure it’ll be my last. There is NO A/C except for in your rooms. Imagine eating in a restaurant for lunch and dinner and it’s between 85 and 90 degrees. The main food hall has mosquitos, birds flying around, and some large rodent like animals that jump on and the tables to eat food. There was a horrible sewer smell coming from our bathroom on the second day. Maintenance couldn’t fix it at 7am because they said it would be loud and that they’d be back to 10am. They came back after 1pm after several phone calls and still couldn’t fix it. They just said sorry and left. I called the concierge desk and they gave me the run around because I wanted a new room. It took over an hour to be issued one. They said they’d send help to move my bags, five phone calls and 3 hours later, I had to go to the lobby, get a keycard, and move myself. My fiancé had to miss an excursion that we paid for and couldn’t cancel the same day to deal with this, because you have to be in the room for any type of maintenance to be done. They gave plenty of apologies but no service. The ladies that cleaned the rooms were great. The laundry service is a scam. Keep your receipt. Because even though they give the prices in USD to launder your clothes, when it was time to check out, the bill was in pesos and my $23 bill was now $32. I had taken a picture of my clothes and the original intake, but not the returned receipt. Never again.
