Following American Hotel & Lodging Association's (AHLA) recent announcement of its "Safe Stay Guest Checklist"—and following medical expert guidance to help reduce the spread of COVID-19—all Hyatt hotels in the U.S. and Canada will require face coverings within indoor public areas beginning Monday, July 27, for the foreseeable future.
Public areas may include hotel lobbies, meetings and events spaces, restaurants and bars, and fitness centers. Some guests may be exempt from this mandate, including but not limited to guests with medical conditions, guests consuming food or beverages in restaurants, and children under the age of 2.

Architecturally significant hotel with great views!

To be honest, I was surprised at how nice the hotel is. After, it's a convention/tourist hotel in a busy city and it's around 50 years old. The architecture is significant and has held up. The atrium lobby is breathtaking and the rooms, recently updated, were excellent. The staff, particularly Jeanette at the front desk, were outstanding. Warm and welcoming and any requests were happily met. I had a king balcony room with a view of the bay that was spectacular. If I were to find anything wrong with the hotel it would be the restaurant. It's pretty lame, all things considered. Tiny menu and a $40.00 breakfast buffet that's totally run of the mill. With such a spectacular setting in the atrium, it would really be something special. A missed opportunity. That would definitely not stop me from staying there again. It's a great hotel and the service is top notch. Will definitely return!

I stay in San Francisco once to twice a month for business and while attending my MBA at the University of San Francisco. The Hyatt Regency Embarcadero has always had the best customer service and accommodations in San Francisco. I'm happy to be a repeat customer!
