Okay Experience!!

preslee f on Apr 19, 2025

At first, the service was horrible, we felt like second-class citizens being on the day-pass package and then we met Ronnie, who turned our experience into an enjoyable one.He made my daughter’s birthday ...experience a memorable one. THANK YOU RONNIE!! I think the wait staff needs organization, besides this, it was an okay experience. I will consider returning if service improves across the board.

Delicious breakfast with a view

Khrystylle S on Apr 17, 2025

Breakfast at 1461 simply delicious. A traditional breakfast with St Lucian flare! I enjoyed a variety of local fruit drinks and experienced local cuisines like fish and baked beans. My hostess Hilda was ve...ry friendly, attentive and knowledgeable of all the dishes that I inquired about. She meet all my culinary needs. Thanks so much Hilda, I’ll see you on my next visit!

An In Depth Take

437meredithb (Bedford Hills, New York) on Apr 16, 2025

If you’d like a quiet, pampered, easy going vacation - this may be the perfect location for you. Everyone at the resort was welcoming and friendly. From the resultants and quick service at the front rec...eption, to our constantly attentive butlers (Neil was incredible), to the 1461 hostess, Hilda who always made sure to provide the perfect table and direct servers to your table if needed, Allison at the pool bar, and the counter staff at the coco cafe- all were friendly and helpful. Marcus was an excellent fitness instructor who took his time to walk us through Pilates and yoga moves in a calm and reassuring way. Ladies at the spa were very helpful and kind. The grounds were clean and easy to navigate. Plantings throughout the resort color the hillside. Our room was spacious and clean. fridges were constantly replenished, extra towels were brought to the room on a regular basis. The plunge pool was private and perfect for our family when we needed a few minutes to our selves. Pool and cabanas are beautiful and clean. Plenty of room to feel comfortable even when busy. Beverages are plentiful with ample variety. Food is good, although more variety would be welcomed- particularly for those staying more than a long weekend. Pacing of food and beverage at restaurants may also be better timed. That being said, the views of the bay from 1461 and The Cove are lovely. Nightly entertainment at 1461 was wonderful, perfectly aligned with the tone and ambiance of the restaurant. Varied each night, but never overwhelming. We had the true pleasure of enjoying Sasky Sasky on our last night at the resort and can’t say enough positive things. Resort recreational activities are ok- best are the instructor led yoga and Pilates classes. Mixology class, bottle painting, and ridge climb are good. Wine tasting class could be improved with instructor using food through out the tasting to enhance class and commentary. It would be nice to have a few more resort activities or allow for them more than once a week (aquacise, cooking class, etc,). Maybe add something like painting coconuts, food tasting of local fruits/fish/veggies? Outside activities we loved included the sunset cruise and snorkeling. The sunset cruise was relaxing and made for a lovely evening. Snorkeling was amazing- lots of fish and coral, tons of color and life to see. The local guide was informative and helpful, guiding us to the best viewing spots and identifying specific species of fish for us. Beach has a beautiful view and water is lovely, however, beach is small and allows for general public access- which by itself is not challenging. Rather, the entrepreneurial mindset of locals is a challenge for Europeans and Americans unfamiliar with assertive salesmanship of coconuts, lounge chairs, local arts, and services. One way to obviate this issue in the first instance is to ask your butler (if you have one assigned to you) to accompany you to the beach and help you get set up. In this way you know who works for the Zoetry, which chairs belong to the resort, where to get towels, drinks, and water equipment. It is also only accessible by a small local ferry which has limited hours of operation- so you cannot necessarily access the beach at sunset. Access to kayaks, paddle boards and snorkel gear is welcome and readily available at the blue and white building on the beach, but it would be nice if the resort were to provide basic class or tour of the. At using this equipment as part of the resort activities as opposed to simply listing the activity on the schedule. (There is a beautiful beach several coves south of Marigot Bay that the more adventurous kayakers can paddle to) It would also be helpful for staff supporting the Zoetry at the beach to wear some kind of identifiable item of clothing- be it a hat, pin, or shirt so as to readily identify those individuals apart from other entrepreneurial individuals on the beach. The resort buildings are a bit tired, and services can be a bit slow at times- but as I stated to begin with, everyone is friendly and warm. But none of that will interfere with the warmth and beauty of St Lucia and the staff at the Zoetry.

Great Experience for a friends' birthday weekend

Claire M (Guangzhou) on Apr 16, 2025

Came to the Zoetry in Marigot Bay to celebrate a friend's birthday and the hotel and location were a beautiful escape. Nicholas went out of his way to ensure that my friend's birthday was truly special, an...d served incredible drinks. We were so thankful for Ella for helping us book excursions to see the rest of St.Lucius and appreciate Claudius's help with last minute changes to our itinerary. Would highly recommend to anyone looking to get away for a few days.

Wow, what a holiday! The transfer from the airport is over an hour, taking you up through windy roads, but it is worth it. The staff are lovely, especially Hilda, who is a peach. Absolutely beautiful,... inside and out. Nothing is too much bother. She's a credit to the hotel and has mafe our holiday extra special. Thank you all. Until next time. xx
