We spent our family vacation here in April, and I can honestly say it was one of the best hotel experiences we’ve had. Everything was perfect — from the cozy rooms to the beautiful location. But what made... it really special was the amazing staff. Everyone was kind and helpful, and the team at the Friends area went above and beyond to make us feel at home. We felt genuinely cared for, and we’re already looking forward to coming back!

My husband and I stayed at Courtyard Clearwater beach for four nights. Upon check-in we had the pleasure of meeting Niqua at the front desk. She is absolutely a gem. Niqua was very kind, helpful, friend...ly, and just provided us outstanding customer service whenever we encountered her during our stay. We stayed on the fifth floor in a room with a balcony with a pool view. Our room was spotless! The balcony was great for us to have as it provided us an opportunity to have coffee outside and relax. We had a refrigerator and microwave. The tv was large and allowed us to log into our own Netflix account. There were other app options as well. We loved Tasha! The bartender on the eighth-floor rooftop bar. She made awesome drinks but no matter how busy it was she handled everything and everyone smoothly. We enjoyed the great conversation with her as well. She definitely needs a raise! Brandon at Starbucks is a cool cat! He and my Husband (whom is a huge Buckeye fan) hit it off well. Brandon was always personable, easygoing, and handled his crowds flawlessly as well. He makes a great mango habanero marg! The housekeeping staff on the fifth floor always kept our room nice and clean! They were diligent about what they were doing. It shows in the great service that they provided for us in the way the cared for our room. We did not use valet but they were always welcoming whenever we entered or departed the hotel. We usually use the fitness room however it was all about the beach, pool, and the city for us. I did go inside the fitness room and it seemed to be a nice, clean area to workout in. The pool is in great condition! Clean, a nice size, and very bright. We enjoyed the pool. I do have a recommendation to place a sign somewhere that there is a outdoor shower in the pool area to rinse off after coming from the beach. We did not notice this until our third day there. It comes in very handy to be able to rinse off before heading back to our room from the beach. The location is great!! It's approximately a two block walk from the hotel to the beach. It took us five minutes to get to the beach. Courtyard Clearwater is in a great location! The only negative is that the bed was uncomfortable. Very firm!! My neck was hurting after the second night. My Husband actually prefers a firmer mattress and he agrees that the mattress was uncomfortable. It would definitely make me reconsider choosing this hotel because I did not get much rest due to the mattress being uncomfortable. The pillows were great but the mattress was horrible. If not for the mattress this would be a five star review because all of the staff the we encountered were amazing! The property is well kept and very clean. It is super accessible to the beach, the strip, many restaurants, and bars

The Courtyard Clearwater Beach is an excellent hotel. The rooms are comfortable, the views are stunning and the pool is wonderful. It’s close to everything that you could possibly need. It even has a marin...a out back. Great place for a staycation!!!

I had a terrible experience with this hotel. Upon arrival at the hotel I originally booked, the AC Hotel in Clearwater, I was informed that I would need to be relocated to a different hotel, Courtyard Marr...iot, something that was never communicated to me beforehand. This was already unacceptable. I was promised a refund due to the inconvenience, and I’ve now been told multiple times that it was issued and that I would receive an email confirmation. I never received any such email, despite being told on four separate occasions that it was sent. When I called to follow up, I was placed on hold for over 30 minutes and never got a clear answer or resolution. This level of miscommunication, lack of accountability, and poor customer service is completely unacceptable. I’m still waiting on the refund and clear communication. I would strongly advise others to avoid this property and book elsewhere.

I booked a reservation on April 13th for May 7-13th. I received two confirmations by email. My credit card showed the pending charge the entire time. My Bonvoy app showed my reservation with confirmation t...he entire time until I arrived at the hotel on May 7th. I even completed the online check-in 2 days prior. My credit card was charged for one night the morning of our arrival. When we arrived at the hotel, we were told by the lady at the front desk (who was very helpful) that the manager had cancelled our reservation because our credit card declined which is untrue as the charge was pending until the day of arrival and then we were charged. I have left a message for the manager and have not heard back. I contacted the corporate office and my concern will be forwarded to said manager. All I want is my money back for the stay we were charged for but the manager cancelled on us. It was very disheartening to arrive from out-of-state with luggage on our 20th anniversary to be turned away and told our reservation was cancelled. We had to find other accommodations quickly, so reached out to Palm Pavilion Inn who welcomed us on the spot and is right next to the beach with excellent amenities! We will never book at this Marriott location ever again and suggest you avoid it as well until a manager with decent communication skills is operating this hotel.
