My family and I arrived the first week of October 2024. Nobody told us that Turks & Caicos has a "slow" season. Flying in from Miami there was a bunch of people going to Turks & Caicos so we didn't think a...nything of it. When we arrived at Villa Del Mar there was only a few couple of cars in the parking lot? We thought maybe people were driving around and exploring the Island. My wife got us checked in and then we went to our room. Our room was beautiful! 2 bedrooms, full kitchen, living and dining room and a luxury bathroom. This is what you imagine when you vacation in a tropical getaway. The lanai was big and was facing the pool area. I walked out to the lanai and noticed that there wasn't a single person in any of the pools? Weird... So we left and went to Graceway gourmet supermarket to get some water and food. We came back and still nobody was at the hotel. No other guests at all. So my family and I walked to Grace Bay to check out the beach. Beautiful! It's Grace Bay one of the world's nicest beaches. So we spent time at the beach and then made our way back to the resort. When we got back there was nobody there! My mother in law wanted a pina colada so we went to the bar by the pool. When we arrived the bartender said that we were his first and last customer of the day? Weird... I became a little suspect so I went to the front desk to ask where everyone is at. This is when I was told that we're the only guests in the whole resort! What!! For the whole week we had the whole resort to ourselves! It was a little weird at first but after the first night it was cool. It was an experience we'll always remember. When you talk about getting away from everyone, how often can you experience having a whole resort to your family. The staff treated us with the best service and care during our stay. The resort offers breakfast at the bar which is some cereal, bagels and some fruit. Enough to get you going. Towards the end of our stay other guest started to arrive but low enough to still have the resort to yourself. I loved Villa Del Mar. Walking to Grace Bay is a 3 minute walk if that. It's a short walk across the street and down the path between the 2 other hotels. Shoutout to Felix the hotel groundskeeper for getting my family some fresh coconuts. Also the whole front desk staff, you all deserve the best. The information shared with us to ensure that our family had a great experience in Turks & Caicos was appreciated. This is our place when we visit again. It really is a home, you can live here if you wanted to!
A Super Visit!

Villa del Mar was the perfect spot for our first (and any subsequent) visit to beautiful Turks and Caicos! Situated behind, but not in the shadow of, larger beachfront hotels this property has convenient b...each access and there are numerous shopping and dining options within easy walking distance. This hotel is enclosed by manicured hedges, the front office and four main lodging buildings. Each building has four floors. Our second floor room was spacious, with king bed, sleeper sofa, comfortable chair, cable tv, mini fridge/freezer, a secure safe, kitchenette sink, nicely appointed bathroom and a stacked washer/dryer combo in the utility closet! My only mini gripe is that there weren't any charging ports in the room. All rooms face out onto a well landscaped oasis of palms, bougainvilleas and red frangipani that surrounded the two pools and outdoor spa. Every morning at 7:30 there was a generous spread of continental breakfast items and beverages. I want to add that the property has great security and we at no time felt unsafe during our stay here or nearby. The staff at Villa del Mar knocked our visit out of the park by any metric. At the front desk Lakeithra, Wesline and Olivier kept smiles on our faces for the entire week with their friendly and engaging manner, and they offered great local dining and sightseeing suggestions while enjoying my array of superhero rashguards. Villa del Mar's private beachfront area is spotlessly maintained by twin brothers Lerone and Kerone, who will take care of your every need (including kayak rentals, day trips, etc.) while you soak up the sun or read under the umbrella on fantastic Grace Bay beach. We generally opt to forego all inclusive when traveling. That's what works for us. Villa del Mar offers an outstanding base of operations for the Turks and Caicos visitor, with lovely accommodations and customer service located close to everything you could want from an island vacation at a reasonable rate. And a peaceful place to return to after your day of adventure.
Not happy

I love this little resort it’s our second time here!! I requested a ground floor room because of a recent back injury and they couldn’t accommodate so they gave us a third floor room which was fine because... there is an elevator BUT the elevator broke!!! Walking 3 flights of stairs is not a good idea!! Also, trying to get a chair around the pool started being a problem because guest decide to put their belongings on the chairs in the morning and go to the beach all day BUT WANT A CHAIR AT THE POOL SO WHEN They RETURN from the beach THEY HAVE A one!! So everyone else well the hell with us!!! I sat at the pool for 3 hours and all the reserved chairs were still unoccupied!! There needs to be a sign at least stating you can’t reserve chairs and if your going to be away from it for any length of time you lose it!!
Wonderful Gem of a hotel behind Grace Bay Club Resort on Spectacular Grace Bay Beach

We spent one week in January 2025 at this lovely resort. Quiet, conveniently located. All staff were lovely, helpful and welcoming. Studio room was spacious and very clean, bed was very comfortable. Elevat...or was great. Easy walk to the beach which is spectacular! Villa del Mar beach area is a great size and the concierge team (twin brothers Kerone and Lerone) are very welcoming, happy and attentive. Drinking water is available on beach and sometimes the concierge on duty brings a refreshing fruit treat to the guests as you relax beachside. Lounge chairs and umbrellas set up and always available. Breakfast is as posted, except all cereals were sugar coated, kids-type so not fibre-types as shown. Pastries were nice, fresh fruit as in bananas and oranges. Always well stocked and clean. Restaurants and grocery store are within a 10 minute walk. Friendly people and good food! No mosquitoes this trip but a few little biting black flies in the evening while sitting out. We will definitely return!
Highly recommend the Villa Del Mar!

Arriving at Villa del Mar we were greeted by Westline and Ruth. Their smiles were contagious and we soon learned that each of these professional ladies would be so accommodating throughout our stay, exceed...ing our expectations, "Many Many Thanks", to you two! We had a quick check in, however our room was not quite ready but did not take long (approx. 1/2 hr). We had assistance with our luggage to the room (202), using an elevator and luggage cart made it so easy. Our room had ample space for two, king size bed, queen sofa bed, the room was actually quite spacious. Large bathroom, shower with and separate tub. A kitchenet, table and two chairs, coffee maker, sink, fridge, microwave, toaster, with enough dishes and serving amenities for four. A large deck with a lounger and table plus four chairs and a great garden/pool view. This is a boutique condo/resort (42 rooms) we never had any issues with pool loungers or beach loungers being available. Villa del Mar also has an exclusive beach location in a very short walking distance, for their guests. We have never seen so many vacant beach loungers, goes without saying, never had any problem with obtaining loungers at any time of the day. Beach staff were more than eager to assist us with lounger prep, towels, cold water or bar trips, many thanks to Kerone and Lerone (twins). The soft white sand beach and aqua colored water was beautiful, long walks on a not so busy beach, made this vacation so memorable. Morning continental poolside breakfast, not a lot of choices but a great way to get your day started, Rose works so hard at spot cleaning and keeping food supplies topped up, "Thank you Rose", you assisted in making our vacation memorable. As this was a boutique resort it didn't take long to feel welcomed. Felix took care of the pool, loungers and grounds, great chatting with him. The pool bar opened for business at noon and stayed open until 8:00. Wilkin, managed the bar and was great to talk with. We introduced him to good old classic Canadian rock music, which he played frequently. This vacation was a celebration of our 46th wedding anniversary and a birthday for our daughter, who joined us. We had pre-arranged for a third person with Villa del Mar, they were so accommodating, again "Thank You, Westline"! Guest appreciation on Wednesday's with live music was a nice personal touch, played a love song for our anniversary and happy birthday song for our daughter. Oliver, the evening front desk person assisted with Island sites to see or visit and various restaurants within walking distance, he was very accommodating and always had a smile. We spent a morning snorkeling with Caicos Island Charters, who picked us up from the beach in a large Catamaran, very smooth sailing. We were very fortunate to see a Humpback whale and her calf up close and personal (of course within a safe distance), lots of reef fish and a visit to an Island to see the endangered Rock Iguana's, this activity is a must. As usual our time went quickly, memorable restaurants such as Solana (Gary, "Many Many Thanks", for making our vacation memorable), The Farm (Rose) and Big Al's (Nadia) a not so known pub restaurant that makes a great burger at a reasonable price, Bella Luna and Castaway (great live music) all were within walking distance from Villa del Mar.
