Last minute vacation to escape the cold was FANTASTIC!!!! Paradisus Princess Del Mar What a great resort in Varadero with AWESOME staff! Upon arrival we were surprised with an upgrade to the Royal side co...urtesy of Yunia at the front desk. Only filled to 40% capacity and our side was very quiet which we loved! We can’t say enough good things about the staff who treated us like Royalty and as friends ?? Laudy and Kevin who kept us involved in pool aerobics & volleyball, pool games and activities, and supplied many hugs and smiles. Marlene and Anna kept our drinks flowing at the pool bar, sweet Lucia replacing our towels was always waving and smiling at us, Diane with her quick wit & stories greeted us each breakfast along with mimosas and coffee. The gardeners wouldn’t let you pass by without giving us a flower, wave or smile. The food was hit and miss. Breakfast and lunch were great, Dinner at the Japanese cooking table was tasty but French a la carte not that good. You are sure to find something at the buffet! We did not go hungry! I have to say I have travelled to many islands and stayed at a variety of resorts but this is the first time that I felt like I left my family in Cuba. The people at the resort made quite an impression on me. If you are coming please bring items to give the workers along with your tip money. They can use everything and anything. We will be back next year!

We travel March 22-29, 2025.. we loved this resort. Clean, spacious rooms. Plenty of tasty food and drinks. Elizabeth at reception was very helpful. We had an issue with the safe in our room and within 10... minutes, there was a staff member there and fixed it. Buffet was awesome. A lot of choices, chicken, pork, and some seafood, if you like that ( I don’t like seafood). My husband really enjoyed the salmon. Suyen, Yailenis and Marialys always greeted us with a smile and flower. At the staff are very hard workers and take pride in their work. Juan stocked the buildings with water, beer and soft drinks was so friendly. The gardener’s were always keeping the grounds clean and fresh. Always smiling and had some pretty flowers to give. We spent the majority of our time at the beach, Maday and Ricardo at the beach bar were the best. The pool was great. We stayed in building 6, really close to everything.
