Yolexis at the kidsclub is super nice with us. She's sweet and organizes great activities. We will miss her. There's ping-pong, foosball, chess, face painting, sandcastle activities at the beach and Mini C...hef. The children's pool is quiet, and there are two slides. The location is beautiful with beautiful trees. The staff is very friendly.
Great value retreat.

We did a group retreat at the Melia Península Varadero. From the booking to the check-out, the General Manager and Managers, Osmany, the Bellmen, Waiters and Waitresses always tried to anticipate and acco...mmodate. That meant a lot. They arranged a birthday cake and despite the many guests, noted our preferences. The rooms were clean and were an excellent value for the price point. The entertainers were surprising and had a broad range of talents from opera to dance - surprising and fun. The beach was lovely and not overcrowded. The staff made it easy and we made it fun. It is an older hotel but there is a wonderful sense of space and privacy - you are not constantly elbowing for space or for lounge chairs. Airy, Caribbean colonial style. We were lucky to be surrounded by friendly people who wanted to have a nice time - and that is definitely what we had. We got very good value for money. I believe it would need a bit of an update (with a price to match - for a full 5 star report, but the service and offerings were very good).
