Our stay at Cocobay was nothing short of spectacular. All in all we had no complaints or problems.

From meeting with Janine to the rest of the team we felt so welcome. The grounds are immaculate, the food was excellent and the private cottages were awesome. The plunge pool was icing on the cake. The sta...ff was attentive and always welcoming with a smile on their faces. Always willing to help. We enjoyed a few hours on the water with our tour guide Vernon.
Very nice all-inclusive resort -- easy to have a good time!

Cocobay is very nice, and it's clear why so many people like it and return . As an all-inclusive resort, it is a good value. . First, the rooms are spacious and clean and "of the place". With each in it...s own bungalow, there is privacy and quiet. Ours had a balcony with a nice view and a plunge pool. It was nice to have this as an additional spot to relax. (We never had time for the hammock, but that was an inspired idea.) We were charmed by the local birds who had figured out that the sugar packets by the coffee maker would satisfy their sweet tooth. The rooms were very well maintained daily. The grounds are extensive with lots of flowers and greenery and very nicely maintained. There are two larger pools -- both with nice beach views. People tend to claim chairs with towels and then go off to do other things, which can create a shortage when there shouldn't be one. The resort could (should?) do a better job of managing this as it seemed like there should have been enough seating to go around. The place wasn't packed when we were there, so eventually, seats became available. The beach is nice -- and was our favorite venue --, with clear and calm water that is excellent for swimming. The same "homesteading" problem with claiming chairs without using them existed here. Note that this beach, like all the beaches in Antigua, is accessible to the public, so there are things, like jet-skis, that the hotel can't control but which don't really contribute to the ambiance. Overall, with several pools, a beach, and nice balconies on the rooms, the guests are spread out enough that it doesn't feel crowded. The staff here are helpful and friendly. We had no trouble getting a kayak when we wanted one. We booked massages which were excellent. Everything we ask for help with -- whether booking a taxi, etc., was handled efficiently and with a smile. The food was adequate to good but nothing to write home about. We felt that lunch was probably the best meal -- a bit lighter and generally creative. I'm sympathetic to places who need to feed a lot of people with different tastes -- it's really hard to do it all well. The restaurant area is nicely spread out with good views. It's worth noting that there are numerous included additional options -- from the coffee shop to the bar bites to the paninis -- available throughout the day. While the hotel offers numerous excursions, it is quite possible to drive onto the property at the beginning of your stay and not leave until the end, to have a lovely time, and to get a bill with no surprises. Most of the people here were couples although there were some friend groups as well. They spanned a number of ages, and guests were friendly with each other. This place has a nice style and everything you could want to feel you are in a special place without being ultra-luxurious or pretentious. One thing to note -- we had booked directly with the hotel. We heard some grumblings from guests who had booked through other services and felt that they didn't have full access to everything. Really, not sure how that works but mentioning that as it was a grumble we heard m ore than once. This is a very "easy" vacation in terms of logistics and access to everything, and we could see ourselves returning at some point.

This us my second trip to Antigua, first time was at Pineapple Beach Club, now The Grand Pineapple. Cocobay is a wonderful little gem. If you like a smaller property with a quiet & relaxed ambience, this... is a great choice. We stayed in a deluxe room, perfect! I opened the bathroom door out onto the deck & enjoyed a private shower with sea view, bliss. Typical Caribbean rooms, rustic yet excellent. Think beach style wooden floor, rendered walls but beamed vaulted ceilings. Long deck/balcony, totally private. If you like to fill your face from a buffet that's been exposed to everyone & wildlife for hours, this isn't for you. If you like local dishes from a menu, usually 4 choices of most courses, then you'll love it, like us. Each evening we sat on the swing with a cocktail watching the stunning sunset... really breathtaking during "golden hour". The beaches are lovely although we hired a car & saw the whole island. Top tip, visit Turner's Beach & Long Bay. Julia's restaurant on Turner's Beach serve up a fabulous lunch. The beach is so long & pretty much empty. A couple of things for Cocobay to try & consider. It would be so much nicer if you could stop people from putting towels/clothes on sunbeds. It's really naff & unfair. Also, if infinity pool no.2 (with an equally stunning view) could be tidied up, there would be no need for bed bagging. Both pools have bars and sunbeds so the guests would be happy at either. That aside, you can't go wrong with this hotel, everything (apart from pool 2!) is perfect in our opinion.

This was our third visit to this charming, rustic hotel and it was absolutely wonderful. The accommodation has a laid back vibe with comfy beds. The food options remai good with generous portion sizes. Coc...ktails are lovely. The views are breathtaking. Starting the day from the hammock of a sea view room with coffee from the on-site coffee shop is pure bliss. Overall, it was another perfect stay and we’ll be back in May 2025.
A perfect week

A really stylish and beautiful resort. The gardens, cottages, restaurant, bar, staff- in fact the whole place - are delightful. Cocobay is definitely on the best side of the island, with amazing beache...s and lush trees and flowers. We would definitely return.
