The best stay!

A superb facility, exceptional rooms, great location just out of town but definitely walkable, friendly professional staff and the evening meal I had at The Prow first class. Overall 10/10

Lovely hotel, nicer on the inside

Lunabelle13 (norwich) on Jul 12, 2024

The hotel doesn't look that much from the outside, but inside the rooms are outstanding. Everything was spotless, and the rooms big and airy. Our room had a kitchen, an open fire, and a lovely spacious bathroom. We had a small issue on the first night and someone from maintenance was there to help in under an hour. All of the staff we met on the first stay were lovely. We enjoyed the place so much that we decided to bookend some travelling by coming back to stay for one more night a few days later and again had a lovely room, this time with a bathroom with a nice clawfoot tub. The only downside was in booking that 1 extra night. We went to the desk and asked for the smallest, lowest priced room they had and were quoted over $600 for the one night. We left and tried a few other places, which were fully booked. I then looked on booking.com and found the room we had asked for listed for around $300. I appreciate sometimes 3rd parties undercut, but not by that amount! We were then also double charged for that final night (once by booking.com and once by the Lodge, and had to chase several times to get any help correcting it)
