Great beaches. Exceptional staff. Huge establishment and great rooms. Drinks are also great. The specialty restaurants are good but fill up quick. The buffet food definitely could use some improvement thou...gh, but not a big deal. I still recommend it.
Great Resort with lots of amenities

I booked at Las Brisas because I liked the variety of activities available in the resort. Having the option of being at one of the beaches or at the pool was appealing. I went with my adult daughter and 75...yr old mother. Good transport available in the resort which is good as there are lots of stairs so not ideal for anyone mobility challenged unless you make extra arrangements. Even then I think it would be tough. I was surprised to see 6 brand new pickleball courts as they weren't highlighted on the website. No one to play with this late in the year but peak season I hear they were busy. Friendly helpful staff. I would definitely go back, just not in April as it was way too hot and humid to enjoy many of the resorts amenities.

Experienced Budget Mexico Traveler - Not Impressed

This basic property is rather challenging. A lot of stairs, and getting everywhere requires a lot of climbing, which is not possible for senior people with health issues. Yes - there are carts, but the g...o only from lobby or from the El Mexican Restaurante, and they don't go everywhere, and sometimes require a lot of waiting (30+ minutes in the peak hours) No balcony in the rooms (Las Montañas). We asked for the change because we needed scuba equipment to dry, and at first, we were offered a room with balcony "in the same category" by Manager Srta Guadelupe at the reception, but next day upon getting the key "to check out", they took us to a another room with no balcony (exactly the same as ours) in the Las Nubes area (farther from everything), which we promptly refused and returned to the receipt for explanations. Then we were offered an upgrade to a room with true balcony, but with the cost of $100 (discounted) per night (the cost never mentioned before). Which we refused because extra cost for 2 weeks was not in the budget. And yet, our friends who arrived a week laster, got a FREE upgrade to the El Mar complex (with balcony!) for 7 days stay, at the check-in time! Our current room at Las Montañas is very basic, the worst thing is the conditioner which never makes below 24C even during the night, and is noisy (while in the "upgraded" rooms it goes down to 16C if necessary and is very quiet). The pools are horrible. The beach is not good for snorkeling because of the weather conditions (late April, murky waters, a lot of challenging tide conditions). There're no elevators from the Lobby level to the Bar level. Which is ABSOLUTE SHAME, because people with heart conditions can't use stairs. The grounds are nice, but there's a lot of misused areas with Tennis Court and a Basketball Court right in the prime location below the main Bellavista restaurant, spoiling the bay view from the window. The food offering is average, if not worse. No good selections of the seafood even in the El Pescador Restaurant, even though Huatulco is supposed to be famous for it's seafood. So, overall experience is mediocre, to say the least. We've asked several friends to join us on the trip, and now we have red faces. And, yes - WiFi is really bad here. Going by by not using WiFI at all.
Great Vacation Spot

Overall experience was great. One complaint I have is the shuttle service is not as responsive as it could be. Twice during our stay, we had to wait 30 minutes to get picked up at the Mexican Restaurant to... take us back to our room. One of those times, the driver then drove back to the lobby where he picked up arriving guests and luggage and overall, it took 50 minutes to get back to our room. We ended up 45 minutes late for our dinner reservation.
