Kamole Sands Unit 7-308. Can't miss !

let me start by saying that in what i believe was the 24th trip my wife and i have taken to the islands over the years (almost always in condos) , this could very well be in the top 2 or 3 properties out of them all. the grounds are a beautifully kept tropical oasis right accross from Kam 3 beach. Kam 3 has both nice sandy areas as well as some rocky areas on ether end which provides some snorkeling opportunities and the occasional turtle joining you for a swim. eveything around the property was spotless and stayed that way over the 12 days we were there. the unit was very clean and well appointed with most any kitchen item you may need and the appliances seemed relatively new with everthing working perfectly. the room also had a nice boogey board, beach towels and umbrella that all came in handy accross the street. the bathrooms (yep 2 of them) had nicely tiled showers as well as soap, shampoo and lotion in both. the unit was a bit larger that i expected with a small 3rd floor patio overlooking the beautiful grounds and even had a peak at the ocean if you positoned yourself just right. the pool area had 2 hot tubs, a seperate kid pool and a small gym with a very nice bathroom/shower area. remember, each unit here is different, so 7-308 is the unit i am reviewing. we would DEFINITELY stay here again. i should aslo mention that the host was a delight to deal with. thanks for that.
Great location, best suited to young families.

Kamaole Sands is positioned across from an idylic beach, kam2, so an easy minute walk from the hotel entrance. There are no shops or restaurants very close. Our ground floor apartment was excellently positioned at the front of the complex with a lanai overlooking manicured grounds, a huge fountain, and the ocean between the trees. The apartment was comfortable and well equipped with kitchen and laundry. It was dark and a bit run down but fine for a few days for our stopover between the mainland and Australia. The pool facilities were overrun by kids- Kihei seems to attract mostly families- so the pool and hot tubs were full of small kids in underpants, not very appealing. But the beach is great for a swim instead. I am not a big fan of Maui, not very pretty other than amazing Haleakala, and not sure I would go back to either the island or the resort, as we prefer Kauai, big island and Oahu. The hotel was very difficult to find on google. The side entrance is closed and there is no signage to tell guests where else to go. Best to enter from south Kihei rd.
Great resort

This resort is great. The pool is clean and has two spas. One is a family spa and the other is a 18 and over spa. They had activities during the week by the pool free to resort guests. We attended the Hawaiian dancing show and even learned to do a dance. We missed the Friday Turtle Talk but if I went to this resort again I'd make sure to attend. They have BBQs to use but we didn't cook that much at our unit. The complex is right across the street from a nice grassy area and the beach. We found multiple areas around the complex where we could shower off sand from the beach. That's convenient when you're trying not to track sand into your rental. There was plenty of parking even with lots of construction going on in the complex when we were there. The complex is right down the street from lots of food, shopping, and multiple beaches.
You May Never Leave!

Stayed here in late June through early July. Amazing property, condo, and location! You need a gate code to enter the property. There were in the middle of fixing several units roofs while we were there, but this did not diminish the ambiance or slow anything down. About 1000 feet from the beach. We stayed in unit 9. Almost everything is within walking distance. Parking is included in the stay. However, parking in not the best outside of the resort. We stayed in a 4th floor 2-bedroom loft with a hideaway bed. Spiral staircase in the middle. It has an ocean and mountain view. The room had chairs, towels, a boogie board, and other items you could use at the beach for free (we donated the snorkel gear - enjoy). They offer tennis and pickleball. It cost $10 +tax to rent pickleball items (sign up in the lobby). The Wi-Fi was not the best, but it did not deter form anything. My only complaint was that the front desk staff were very robotic. Always had a smile and didn't do anything wrong, but we were visiting paradise...they obviously live there and it might be just another day to them. We stayed in Oahu for 3 days before this and even though it was overwhelmingly touristy, they made us feel like we were on vacation. We would absolutely stay here again and recommend it to anyone who is thinking about staying in Maui.
Pretty location, undesirable unit

The location and condo grounds were great. The condo itself was not, unit 7-104. One of the two showers had no damage water pressure making it not useable. We chose this location because there were two bathrooms/showers, yet we only had one. The faucet in the main bath leaked all over as well making it difficult to use. The microwave did not work at all and was inconvenient after we bought microwaveable food for quick breakfasts. We tried to use the oven instead and it hardly worked. The pull out bed was not comfortable at all. We had to stack pillows on the frame to keep the frame from falling back inside the couch. The description advertises snorkeling equipment but none of it sealed so it was not useable. Other than the actual living space, the area was nice.
