Family friendly overpriced

Stayed over a weekend and had a nice peaceful visit. There is an adult pool thank goodness. I have done my duty with kids. However. There is also a fabulous water slide area. I ordered room service the first night. Tried to order online but there was no access so I called the concierge who put me through. I ordered from the online menu but what came was not the same. Well done chicken in rosemary not lemon grass and baby carrots not broccolini. Disappointed. Ate breakfast at Starbucks.
Great hotel

Great hotel, something for everybody. This is a large property so that can be the only downside, it takes some time to get around the property and it’s easy to get lost. Only other downside is the pool side food costs are ridiculous, $32 for a burger
Don't hesitate: Reserve Now. This place is fabulous and people managing it are outstanding.

This is an outstanding, premier property in Maui. Uber from airport to hotel, avoid parking fees. Everything is within walking distance. Property is well maintained; associates deliver exceptional customer experience and peace and tranquility await at every turn.
4.5/5- overall amazing hotel

Overall we loved this hotel and would definitely return. We were a multigenerational group ages 70 - 2 and all had a great time. Pros: 1- Really nice grounds and common spaces. The green space near the lobby is kid heaven and we enjoyed eating breakfast and drinking coffee there in the morning as the kids played and made friends. 2- Excellent pools and easy access to Wailea beach which is a fun beach for kids to swim and play in sand. The water slides are really fun for all ages. 3- We experiences nothing but great customer service and thought the staff was all wonderful. 4- You really can't beat the Wailea area. The walking trail that runs along the shoreline is great for morning walks/runs. 5- The sunsets from the adult infinity pool are pretty epic. 6- Great to have a full service Starbucks on site Cons 1- You can tell they renovated an old property and while a lot of the property is really beautiful and updated, some still looks old and dingy. We had a room on a bottom floor with a nice sundeck and great view but the hallway to get to our room felt like a 1960s dungeon. 2- The pool temp of the kids pool needs to be a little warmer. We were at the Hyatt for the other half of our vacation and it had much better water temp in the pools. Even though the weather was great (82 every day), our little ones often had blue lips and were shivering in the kids pool.
Pros and cons

Pros: Resort surroundings are beautiful, most resort staff very helpful and provided good customer service. Cons: The most cringeworthy customer service was when we were enjoying breakfast by the grassy lawn area ( where they apparently have yoga classes, we didn’t know, there were no signs or areas blocked off), the Marriott yoga instructor walked up to us and said “ We will be setting up here for our yoga class so we ask that anyone not part of the class, leave.” Zero customer service from this Marriott yoga instructor.
