Great place. Staff very friendly and accommodating. Views are gorgeous-adult only pool and good exercise classes if you’d like. It’s a large property but you can experience serenity and being alone. Also reflects Maui culture so you feel like you are in Maui- ie plays Hawaiian music. Beach walking path is gorgeous. Only drawback is that in aft when tradewinds are blowing you can’t put up an umbrella at the pool, so it is hot. Get ocean view room w balcony - you can’t go wrong. Plenty for families w kids to do on property and off, although we travelled without kids.

We loved everything about this resort! It truly has everything — pools, beach, excellent rooms and common areas, restaurants, etc. We didn’t want to leave! We loved how walkable it was to the shops and to grab a quick bite to eat at the nearby ABC store. Go early for beach chairs, but we were always able to grab pool chairs.

Family Summer Trip. 5 night stay and dealt with a very suspect encounter on the second day. On Monday July 1st, my family and I were enjoying our time at the Nalu pool. I had walked to the bar and ordered a Fortaleza tequila with club soda and lime juice (ranch water). The bartender, Anita, did a great job with the drink and I walked back to our chairs. A few minutes later, the pool server, Shaye, came by and asked if i would like another to which I said yes after telling her my drink, a Fortaleza tequila with club soda and lime juice (ranch water). Drink was dropped off, tasted great like the first one. About 20 minutes later, 3:30pm, she had asked if i would like anything else and I said I will take another. This time, the drink had a different tequila. I know for a fact as anybody could taste the hint of floral.. When I went to the bar to question Shaye, she told me that they do not serve Fortaleza at the bar. Anita who I ordered the first drink, from which I saw pour a Fortaleza with my own eyes, was on break and Charlie had taken over. He too said they don’t have it. Shaye, with an attitude insisted that they don’t have Fortaleza nor have they served Fortaleza that day. I even showed her my receipt that says Fortaleza on it but she kept denying it and was extremely rude about it. Between Shaye and Charlie, something shady was going on. I was about to pay for a well tequila at a non-well price had I not said anything. After leaving the pool, I went to the front desk and asked for a manger. At that time it was Leslie who jotted down my concern and said someone would call me. I missed a call at dinner but no message or communication, even at checkout time. This is extremely concerning. I travel around the world and opt for drinks at the Marriott properties. If I have to keep a watchful eye at what is being poured, then I just won’t partake. Needless to say, I don’t plan on staying at the Wailea beach resort again.

Absolutely love the Aloha vibes, hospitality, location, restaurants and overall cleanliness of this hotel! From the moment you walk in, you’ll be wowed by the attentiveness and warmth of the employees from the valet, to the check in desk, to every one you cross paths with. Amazing. We had a small hiccup with our room, and the woman at the front desk immediately escalated to their manager and made a call on the spot to fix it. Mahalo!! Kids also loved the waterslides at the Nalu pool. And the game room is free! Let me repeat: arcade games, skee ball, etc all free. That alone was shocking and the kids were super happy and even gave mom and dad some free time while they hung out there. The views are gorgeous, the grounds are immaculate and they are really on top of making everything a five star experience. We will 100% be back!!

Aloha! This hotel from beginning to end was incredible!! It wasn’t overcrowded, seats at pool were easy to get. The hotel slides at the family adventure pool were some of best hotel slides I’ve EVER been on, and we travel a lot! The bartender, Anita, at the Nalu Advebture pool will remember your name and drink and make you feel special! I enjoyed seeing her face and smile everyday. My family of 4 stayed in a junior suite and it was big enough for everyone. The sea turtles at the beach at the hotel were incredible!
