Reviews
Clean Property, Impeccable Service, VERY Upbeat Vibe

Please bear with me, as this review will be somewhat long - in order to include all of the awesomeness! I'm not one to dish out 5 stars easily but Circa really did impress me, as well as my spouse! Interes...tingly, while I enjoy sports, a sports minded hotel wouldn't be my first choice but we've gamed here and were offered a couple of complimentary nights. Also, we stay downtown on business and after about 30 times at the Golden Nugget (not by choice), we're burned out on how nasty it is. Not to rip on an old Vegas icon, but the owners (Landry's) simply don't care about guest experience. Enough on that topic. First and foremost, Circa is VERY LOUD and we knew this going in. Travel Ruby (luv me some Ruby) offers a great You Tube video of her stay and she also points this out. It's adult only, which we loved and while some people seem annoyed at them checking and scanning ID upon entry, this did not bother us. It helps to avoid the drug addicted and homeless of Freemont St turning the restrooms into their personal showers. Make no mistake, I'm not insensitive to their living/health situation but when we're dining at Chart House or Vic & Anthony's (the only 2 good things about the Nugget), it's a bit of a bummer when you excuse yourself to the restroom only to find people disrobed and bathing in the sinks! Upon arrival via Uber, our driver broke the rules (her idea, not ours) and dropped us at the lobby door, as opposed to the Garage Mahal. We were greeted by a super friendly Desk Associate and while we'd initially requested a room facing away from Freemont for less noise, we inquired about a Freemont facing higher floor, which she happily made happen. You'll immediately notice that the lobby, elevators and garage walkway are all in the same area. No dragging your bags though an ENTIRE CASINO to reach an elevator. While I get the psychology of why Vegas hotels map their properties this way, it really doesn't work. We like to gamble and will seek out a table or slot machine! We have friends who don't gamble and no matter how many casinos you trek them through, they're NOT going to gamble. Period. When we entered our room on the 30th floor, we were so pleased with how nice it was. Photos don't do it justice. The bathroom for lack of a classier word, was killer! It included the Vegas basics like double vanities and a nice shower but this was really over the top in the small details. Hooks to hang wet towels, which most hotels lack as they're encouraging guests to re-use towels. A lighted, magnified makeup mirror, and on the topic of lighting, every lighting combination one could ever want. A real blow dryer, rather than the cheapest offering from the local Walmart. Just a very upscale vibe with gold fixtures and super cute flapper girl wallpaper. I liked this better than the bathroom in the huge suite at Cosmopolitan! Oh, and the shower had the best water pressure ever! Just very luxurious for vacation mode. The room itself felt much larger than the actual square footage, and was beautifully understated. The sectional and chair were quality furniture pieces, which is not too common for hotel rooms in general. Nice armoire with plenty of hangers and a clothing steamer. Only thing missing there - a couple of lightweight robes would have been nice. The refrigerator was actually cold enough to safely keep 'to go' food at a proper temperature for consumption the next day. Loved the desk and bench with luggage storage below, which we used for our shoes. There's an Alexa on the nightstand which I unplugged, since I find that to be invasive. I'm sure most people would like this feature. :-) My husband immediately noticed that there were lots of outlets throughout, which is great for today's device addicted. The bed was nice, but my only complaint there were the pillows which were like 12" high with zero plushness to them. They were rock hard! We called down for feather or a thinner option and were informed that all of the pillows were replaced several months ago, as guests found the previous ones to be too thin. Pillows are definitely a personal preference thing. We both slept without which wasn't ideal but we liked the room so much, we let it slide. I plan to order tiny down pillows to pack for our next visit. Lastly on the room front, we were directly facing Stadium Swim and it's LOUD. Like a reverberating, thumping from morning 'til night. We're used to this with having stayed across the street so many times and at 1:30am, Stadium Swim isn't the culprit. It's the numerous Freemont St stages which offer live performers or DJ music. My fix is to close the blackout shades and run the AC/heating unit fan. It drowns it out pretty well. That said, we heard NO noise from adjacent rooms or the hallway. Sorry for so much detail here and while one may think 'wow, she doesn't get out much', I've actually been to Vegas about 50ish times (lots for work) and what stood out here was, the owners of this hotel actually care. Not true anymore in Vegas - even at some of the higher end strip properties. Dining: we've eaten at Barry's and 8 East in the past and this time, tried Victory Burger. I've reviewed each of them individually. They're all very good with 8 East being my fave! Gaming: fun casino! Win some, lose some as gambling is meant be. We joined the players club back when Derek Stevens bought the Fitz and opened the D. It's really pretty good - decent free slot play and always generous dining comps (and we're not 'whales'). We never pass up an opportunity to dine at Andiamo Steak House at the D. Italian is what they do really well - I mean delish - scratch made pasta! One nice perk is no resort fee on comped rooms, which most strip hotels only offer to upper tier. Free parking at Garage Mahal and VIP check in for mid-tier members. And speaking of Garage Mahal, nice place to grab a rideshare or rent a Hertz car if needed. Stadium Swim: I didn't really love this pool. The security staff were very nice on the way in and it's very clean! For me, it just had sort of a locker room feel and I myself prefer more foliage - think Wynn or Bellagio - some sun and some shade. But, I'm sure the majority of guests really like it, as it's also very sports themed. I mean who doesn't love an outdoor TV half the length of a football field? :-) In closing, this was just such a nice experience - better than I'd expected! Every single staff member we encountered was gracious and warm. From the Housekeeper who made sure to replenish our waters, even on days where we didn't have her clean, to the Desk Associates, to the Bartenders and Cocktail Servers on the casino floor. We will definitely return to Circa!

The room was absolutely stunning. Everything modern and clean. No noise from Fremont Experience. Spacious and cozy. The property itself was well kept. Casino has a good variety of games. Had an issue with ...a game. The attendant was fast, nice, and friendly. Would recommend 10/10.
