Las Vegas classic is still a classic
arosehightower (California) on Nov 15, 2024
The Flamingo is a Las Vegas classic and does the job. It's my go-to hotel for when I'm passing through town because it's comfy, fun, and the price is right. The location is unbeatable with easy enough parking and services. Definitely choose a Flamingo Room as opposed to the Go Rooms as they are more updated. Check-in waits are crazy but that's par for the course in Vegas. Room soundproofing isn't great but it's not awful. It's a very busy downtown Vegas hotel so if you're looking for peace and quiet this isn't an ideal place but you probably aren't looking for that on the Vegas strip anyways.
Great location but…
Stacy B (Albuquerque, New Mexico) on Nov 15, 2024
The location is excellent but we were not in an upgraded room & you could tell. The floors were dirty - as evidenced by white socks worn around the room. The water was a trick - sometimes it would be scalding when you tried to start a shower (the trick is letting it run for several minutes - horrible for water savings - & then it would calm down). We declined housekeeping but when we called for a little service (new towels), we were met with a snarky “you declined service” o h& I thought we were doing you the favor… we did get towels brought up. Then, I signed up for early check in & in the final bill noticed I was double billed. Great location, easy walk to the monorail but it comes at a cost.
