Wishing for Better..

Check-in : The check-in process was relatively quick. The porte cochere is pretty tight and we had to ask for the valet to find a bellman to bring a cart for our bags. We were there for the NFR so we had multiple hanging bangs and hat boxes. It wasn't particularly busy when we arrived. At most hotels on the strip the bellman are there before you can get out of your car. If you self-park, drop your bags off first, as it is a haul to the front desk if you have luggage. We were upgraded to a higher floor by the super friendly desk agent. The Room : We had a strip view room on the 39th floor. The view was spectacular! The room is a little small. The bathroom is bright with nice toiletries. For our king room we were only given two bath sized towels and two face clothes. Not the end of the world but when you're trying to get ready on a schedule just to realize you're going to have to reuse a wet towel it's disappointing. The water pressure is abysmal. I had to put my head under the sink to get all the conditioner out of my hair. The bedding was clean. The bed itself was lumpy like it was an old old mattress. Honestly, the rooms were just a little small and under appointed compared to similarly priced rooms on the strip. Resorts World : The casino is by far my favorite on the strip! It's incredibly clean and really doesn't smell of smoke or heavy covering perfumes! The dealers are incredibly friendly and always willing to help if you someone is new to the game. There's plenty of waitresses and they keep the drinks coming. The spa is beautiful and we had amazing massages. Food : The food is a tough situation. There are plenty of options on the property. They don't have traditional "room serivce" they have GrubHub for some of the restaurants on the property instead. The caveat is that it is poorly run and maintained. Most of the restaurants only have a third or and eighth of their menus on there and it's not things that make sense. The pizza place sells 8-10 different pizzas by the slice every day but you can't get those on the app. You can only get whole pizzas. The breakfast place has a full seated breakfast menu plus a counter service area with pastries and coffee. They will deliver eggs benedict to your room but not a bagel toasted with butter. It's odd. Avoid the steakhouse, Carversteak, it's terrible. I really wanted to love staying here but I was left wanting. I've heard that the small upgrade to the Conrad is worth the price and makes all the difference so maybe we will try that next time!
The Best of Both Worlds

This hotel complex renewed my love for Las Vegas. Down at the quieter end of the strip, you only have to walk 15-20 minutes to be in the thick of it all but you can escape to a clean, less smoky oasis at Resorts World. The rooms at the Hilton were simple but beautiful. And incredibly clean. The mini fridge was most welcome for snacks and drinks purchased from the Walgreens across the street. Check in was a little slow but it always is in Vegas. What I absolutely loved about this hotel was the pool complex. The music was loud enough to feel like it was a party but quiet enough for conversation. If you wanted a little more debauchery, you could hit up the adult pool but the main complex was large, has tons of chairs and the pool service is excellent. The frose bar was our favourite. Normally I am ready to go home after 3 days in Vegas but I could have stayed here a week. I actually went home relaxed. I'm not a gambler but the casino is lovely and you don't feel like you're sitting in an ashtray. And the street food food court was DELICIOUS. I would absolutely return to Resorts World when it's time for another Vegas trip. I don't think I'll ever stay on the other end of the strip again.
