I booked for 3 kids. MY KIDS. and I get here having to pay almost $1,000 more because they messed up my booking but REFUSED to give any sort of discount for their error!!! What if that tapped into the money I needed to get my kids home. I would not recommend booking with them TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE. TERRIBLE!!!!!!
Beware of five star reviews.

We recently returned from a 10 day stay and overall we really enjoyed our stay. The premises are lovely with a range of bars, restaurants, and even a coffee shop which is included in the all inclusive. The staff are friendly and can't help enough with any questions and I'd like to make special mention of Melrose from the OCS Pool Butler Service, and Sophia from the Privilege Lounge - both are an asset to the hotel. We had booked a privilege room as we wanted access to the additional restaurant which we went to most days for breakfast and once for dinner. Beyond this we ate at the Buffet, Teppanyaki, Indian, Italian, and American restaurants. Overall the food was OK, but nothing spectacular and could certainly do with rotating the menus for those staying longer than a week, I would say that the food at Route 66 (American) was particularly disappointing. In all the restaurants the portion sizes are smaller than I expected which led us to eat at the buffet most days, which though chaotic at times, was better than I expected it to be. The Coffee shop was also a highlight for me. For anyone booking privilege, please be aware that you are eligible for the 'top shelf' alcohol/sprits but you need to ask for these at any bar. We enjoyed a couple of Baileys on out last few nights, but could have taken advantage over the full stay if we'd have realised. Beyond the food, some additional areas to improve would be the wear and tear on the rooms as this is getting quite evident in some places, such as a drawer front being completed broken in our bedroom. Though I fully appreciate that hotel rooms are highly trafficked and get a lot of use, given the cost of our stay the level of wear and tear in the room was a little disappointing. The absence of inside locks on the bedroom doors is also unusual, as every hotel I stay at has one, and I would imagine leaves solo travelers feeling a little vulnerable. I would like to highlight a few major issues we encountered during our stay: Firstly, we had money taken from our locked safe within the room. Looking at other reviews this is a recurring issue and, as we had no evidence to show what was in our safe to begin with (I plan to log and photograph what goes into the hotel safe in future), I didn't see the point in reporting the matter to management as other reviewers have mentioned similar issues in the past and clearly nothing seems to be done about this. Secondly, during the Saturday of our stay it appeared that day passes are issued for the foam pool party. A lady got too drunk during the morning and threw up next to the pool at around lunchtime. Given this is a family resort this seemed highly inappropriate behaviour, in addition the smell of weed was also very present over the weekend days, but barely noticeable on other days of the week. Perhaps the 'partying' should be encouraged in the adjoining adults only hotel? I would like to highlight that the staff response to the pool incident was excellent and it was cleaned very quickly. Finally, there seemed to be a requirement for staff to get names on reviews across multiple platforms such as TripAdvisor and Google to the point where they would stand and wait for a review to be written and posted, they even mentioned that their name should be at the top of the review so management could see it. This happened a number of times over several days and quite frankly was irritating as we were there to relax and not be harassed into reviews during our stay. I have now deleted the 'reviews' posted both here and on Google to be replaced with this genuine review and have mentioned staff members by name in this review who had a genuine positive impact on our stay, as they deserve the attention. This gaming of the review system didn't stop with staff as my wife was advised that if we left a positive review of the hotel we would be given an upgraded room upon our next stay. I have reported this to TripAdvisor as we rely on genuine reviews to make our holiday decisions, and major issues, such as theft from room safes, will be drowned out by these 'leading' reviews. I am typically a positive reviewer - overall we enjoyed our stay at the Ocean Coral Spring hotel and there's lots to like, but we likely wouldn't return given the constant request for reviews, lack of food variety, and most importantly the theft from our safe, which is a serious failing and is irredeemable.
