Ocean Coral Springs

During my first night here my wallet was picked up by a guest that was staying on the Eden side. I went to guest services immediately. Jaheim was so helpful. He contacted Andre’a the head of the loss prevention team. Andre’a found my wallet by checking back on the cameras. They said two females ditched it on a bench and left my cards and $1. I was so upset. He assured me he would do everything he could to find those guests. Long story short even though this was my first night in Jamaica & despite the circumstances, my money was retrieved & returned. Every dollar ?????????? I am so thankful for those guys for helping me and making my stay nothing but amazing.

Jamaica is beautiful but the resort is a tragedy.

Overall we had a good time as a family, but the resort was a big let down. Negatives: - Our room was not ready until 2.5 hours after check in time. - It took a further 2 hours for the sofa bed to be made up for our toddler, even though this was requested at time of booking. The sofa bed is a 1 inch thick piece of foam that on sharp metal. - We had to ask no less than 4 times over 2 days for extra blankets - Our two rooms were "upgraded" at check in - there were bugs all throughout the room, exposed wires in the shower niche, cracked tiles all throughout the shower, dirty floors, door stop missing (this was just a bolt sticking up through the floor - huge safety concern with a toddler) - Our mini bar did NOT get replenished throughout out whole stay, despite being told at reception it would be daily - Had to phone guest services and ask for bottles of water which took 4 hours. Even took a trip to reception who couldn't provide water and said we had to wait for it to get delivered to our room - WiFi did not work - TV did not work consistently - we were able to get it to work twice for 1hr at a time during our whole stay - The balcony light has no way of being turned off from inside - it just stays bright shining in around the curtains the whole night (again not great for a toddler) - The hairdryer didn't work - There was no body wash/ soap in the shower the first two days, we had to use the shampoo/ conditioner combo - The shower did not work on day 3 (no water pressure), and every day there was no choice in shower temperature, it was hot or hot, regardless of which way you turn the tap (also not great for a toddler) - The water park was closed 2 days of our stay with no explanation. Additionally, all photos of the resort seem to be from when it was built, whereas it is now in a huge state of disrepair. - When you check in reception put an armband on you. The staff member (Brittanese) put this on without checking tightness. It was cutting the circulation off my mums hand because it was so tight, but when we asked for it to be loosed or changed out, Brittanese said she'd only do it if we paid the $150USD for a broken/ replacement band. These bands are not RFID, they do not serve any purpose (do not unlock the room door etc), so it seems she was just trying to pocket some extra cash - There is not a single umbrella around the pool (despite what the pictures on their website show), so the only shade is from the few trees as the sun moves Positivies: - Most of the staff. Particularly Shane in the main buffet - just the nicest lady with the best memory who we LOVED being seated with each day for breakfast or lunch Andrew in the Italian restaurant - great sense of humor, really knowledgeable about the menu, super sweet to our toddler, and made it a great experience. Anika in Thali - warm, friendly, helpful, kind, attentive but not annoying. Really loved these three in particular! All staff at the coffee shop and swim up pool bar were also great - friendly, polite, interested in helping and make a positive experience. - Specialty restaurants - Italian, Indian and Japanese were all fantastic food! Really flavorful, fresh and just moreish. A real highlight! - The main pool; it isn't deep, has plenty of platforms around the edge to sit on, and love the zero entry for toddlers and elderly people. Overall, we won't return. We did make a complaint about not being able to get a bottle of water, so the duty manager phone and offered a 30% discount on a future stay within 1 year if we would not write a review, but was nowhere to be found at check out to discuss. I did tell him on the phone that our experience was such that we would not be back.

Paradise!

From the time you step foot on the resort, you will experience excellent staff, management, service and appearance(views included). Restaurants have delicious food! I would definitely come back to this resort the next time I come to Jamaica!

I will definitely recommend this resort to anyone wanted to travel to Jamaica. Ocean Coral Springs. This resort is very family friendly. “ Beautiful” is an understatement. I was welcomed by all great staff @ Ocean Coral Springs. Me and my friends were treated like royalty there. I even got to engage with upper management. Shanardo Weston hands down was very professional and friendly to me and my friends any questions we had he answered them during our stay. Great guy ?? I will definitely be returning to this resort I would give them 10 stars if could. Thanks OCS

Ocean View Disaster!

We had our family reunion at this resort and while we were pleased with the regular staff we found the Management teams response to our complaints to be unacceptable and deplorable. We checked into our rooms and we wereVERY UNHAPPY! We purchased Ocean View and from the window of the 3 rooms that I purchased we overlooked dirt and mud, unkept bush area and what looks like a tenement yard with dogs and other people occupying a make shift ghetto space. This is UNACCEPTABLE for the price that I paid for these rooms. When we approached the management team and showed the photos they refused to change our rooms or make any effort to compensate us for the bait and switch of showing one thing online and having the guest arrive and not getting what they paid for. The management even implied that this is something that they are aware, but still made no attempt to remedy the situation. We spoke to 3 different levels of management and the response was still the same. SMH, unacceptable!!! P. Lacey
