Pricy food, bad billing practices

Pricy food, rude customer service and messy billing. Our family just visited the Coral this past week. Overall this is not a place we would be returning. Cons: 1. The food on site is very pricy. There are a lot of restaurants in the property but the food they are offering is at best mediocre and prices are astronomical. A regular dinner for 4 without drinks or desserts would be $300. We spent close to $500-600 a day on food. 2. Rude customer service. There are a lot of staff working but most of them lack the proper training. When asked questions, they either say “you come back” or ask front desk or I am not the person who handled that. No one is taking responsibility of anything 3. The room charge system is ridden with issues. To put a room charge on a room, all you need at most of the places is to give a room number. No room key needed. No verification of the charges. We found a charge that was not ours and had been fighting since the third day into our stay. Despite multiple visits to the front desk and politely inquired about the charge, nothing was done. They said they’ve sent an email to their audit department but no one had got back with us. The last day before the departure, I had to raise my voice with the rep at front desk and still, I was promised they would send another email. This is extremely aggravating. Never experienced this kind of billing issues with any destinations we ever visited. It’s just very irritating that we had to worry about a room charge during our vacation Pros: 1. The room at coral is spacious. The cleaning team does a good job cleaning the rooms every day. 2. The dolphin and sea lion experience is fun .
Atlantis Staff is the Best

Outstanding services, superb facilities. We were there for a sports competition and took advantage and stayed for an entire week. We had a great time, the place had everything you need, pools, watermarks, beaches fitness center, restaurants but the best, its staff!

We ended up checking out and changing our flights to come home early because of the dirty environment. The workers are rude and made us feel uncomfortable. Good luck finding a towel if you try to brave to dirty pool water or dirty sand. Do yourself a favor and choose a newer resort like Bahamar

My boyfriend and I traveled to the Bahamas for a poker tournament. We were very excited because my bf won his seat and it was my first time out of the country. Here are my major disappointments: - the TV didn’t work the entire duration of our stay. Although we tried to have it fixed we just didn’t get the chance to have IT stop by. - the tub didn’t drain. We called to have it fixed and was by the time we got back to the room, but it was kind of surprising to have to call to have the tub drained. - THE MOST UPSETTING THING - good isn’t cheap by any means at this resort. We dined at many places but this was our last night and was a $400 dinner. We highly anticipated Fish by Chef Jose Andres and unfortunately we were disappointed. Last reservation was set for 9:30 which we booked despite closing at 10…(the service was rushed). Our server was lovely and gave us the best experience he could. But they served my bf raw chicken (assuming they were rushing in the kitchen) which was the cheapest dish we ordered and a manager never stopped by… we had to ask for a manager to stop by. It was needless to say disappointing. However… The people, the staff, the energy on this island and on this resort is MAGICAL… everyone went above and beyond out of their way to make sure we had a good time. We swam with dolphins and our guide TJ was a great host. David from the French restaurant (Cafe Martinique) went above and beyond. Despite the raw chicken I would travel back just for the people. They make the resort worth the stay. ????
Not what I expected -- very disappointed.

Our experience at the Coral was not the greatest. The rooms are dated to the point that some should be closed. The food was not good, and the staff did not seem overly friendly. I would like to attribute this to the time of the year because it was not busy, however a non-serviceable room and undercooked food has nothing to do with time of year. I definitely won't be staying at the Coral again. I probably won't ever come back to Atlantis. I've been here three times, and this was by far the worst. I think it's time to give Jamacia a try.
