Prepare to feel like you’ve been fleeced .

We are leaving in the morning so I had some time to give a summary. Beautiful resort with many things to do and a beautiful beach. If money is no object it’s great. For 99% of the world this place is way... overpriced. A few examples--my wife and I and our 2 teenagers ate at the resorts buffet (Poseidon). It’s listed at $79 per person (which in itself is ridiculous) so we figured we would bite the bullet one night and try it out. What a joke! Our total bill was $395 and the food was simply decent. We were so livid that they had the nerve to charge an extra $48 because a band was playing, are you flipping kidding me? The band was so loud that we were sitting at a small table of 4 and we couldnt hear a word we were saying the entire time. We paid 9 grand to stay there for 5 days and they have the nerve to add on a fee because a band was playing. Were we’re so mad after we saw our bill that we wanted to leave,complain/ask for a refund, etc but my wife and I decided to not ruin it for our kids. On the way up to the room my son has been wanting to play on their mini put put course. Once again, a put put course is complimentary in any resort I’ve ever stayed in. Not at Atlantis. $40 per person to play put put. Ridiculous. Not a damn thing is included in your room price so, unless you are loaded, be prepared to feel like you’ve been taken to the cleaners because good chance it’s how you will feel. Kids left happy but parents felt totally taken advantage of in any way Atlantis could possibly. Last example-dolphin experience….kids loved it. Very expensive ($600 for the 2 of the for a hour). We could live with that high price as it is a cool experience. However, who from Atlantis management thinks charging an addition $125 for the 5 photos package is ok/not obscene? Management-don’t you think that price should include at least 1 photo with the astronomical price of $300? We will not be visiting this property again as I feel they do everything except hold you upside down and shake every last penny out of your pockets before you leave.

In comparison to last year the Atklantis staff has shown incredible improvement. Friendly, helpful, caring and willing to help. a huge improvement from 1 year ago. My guess is competition is greater with n...ew hotels and they have to step up their game a lot to compete. Pleasantly improved.
