Summer vacation in Jamaica

We really enjoyed this resort. We stayed in early June, a family of 10. The food was good, I really loved the ice cream and had a Bob Marley drink often (it is vacation, and I am not even a drinker, mostly sweet with no taste of alcohol). We booked 2 excursions with the hotel including climbing the Dunns River waterfall and bobsledding. My daughter also did the zipline. There was a lot to do at the resort itself with a game room for kids. The locals also sold items within the resort. The evening shows were great, especially the Bob Marley show, I sang the whole time and danced in my chair. The rooms were clean and comfortable. We cannot wait to return.

I recently stayed at Moon Palace Resort in Jamaica , and I am incredibly disappointed with the experience, especially due to the behaviour of the supervisor Sherane, When I approached them with a concern, they were shockingly dismissive and outright rude. Rather than offering any form of help, they seemed uninterested in listening to my issue and even refused to address it. I ask for a king or queen size bed because it was my honeymoon, the option to choice a single bed wasn’t available as a choice to be selected while booking online. She informed me that wasn’t possible and there’s no room available, after trying to resolve the issue Sherane refused to come out and speak to me in person, but then after 30mins of arguing, the lady at the front desk said if I want I would have to pay an additional $600 for 3 nights just to get a queen size. Which I did eventually pay for because I refused to have 2 single bed on our honeymoon. It seems like the staff only cared about tips and the other colour people not their own black people. Not only was this unprofessional, but it left a sour taste in my mouth for the entire stay. Hospitality should be about making guests feel welcome and taken care of, yet I felt disregarded and unwelcome. Unfortunately, I would not recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a respectful and helpful staff experience. If you’re seeking quality service, this is not the place for it.
