Outstanding employee - Sunny
MONICA M on Dec 08, 2024
Upon our arrival at the Clarion on 12/4, we were greeted by Sunny in the parking lot, advising us what we would need when we went to the front desk. She also offered to assist us with our luggage. Later that night, we had some issues with our shuttle passes through the ART. Again, she approached us to give us assistance, even though she was at the end of her shift. It had already been a very long day and drive from AZ and her extra kindness was what we needed to help the day. We saw Sunny a few more times on our trip and she greeted us each time asking us if we were enjoying our stay and if there was anything we needed assistance with. Sunny went out of her way to show us not only outstanding customer service, but to just be kind. In this day and age of no one taking a few minutes to assist you, it was so refreshing to come across Sunny. Sunny made our stay that extra special. We were truly grateful to her. She is what you would consider an Outstanding Employee. I'm in HR and I could only wish to come across individuals like her. Thank you, Sunny, for going the extra mile for us. You have a special heart.

This hotel is absolutely not it: the only thing that’s good and convent is the location. The rooms stink, are dirty, and not updated at all. I have asked at least 5 times since we have been here (5 day trip) to get our room cleaned and housekeeping hadn’t come ONCE. I’ve had to call the front desk countless times for them to ask housekeeping to come and nothing. Spend your money elsewhere
Comfortable hotel and great staff

Had a great stay in this comfortable hotel for a company trip. The staff (Sunny in particular, but everyone I worked with) was exceptionally helpful and efficient. Calls to the front desk were answered immediately, even at late hours, and requests were handled very promptly. Couldn't have asked for more!
A very dated hotel but in good proximity to Disneyland

Great location for Disney but a seriously tired hotel with a desperate need for refurb. You can easily walk to disney in under 20 minutes or get the shuttle from the disney toy story car park across the street, but both take the same time (walking slightly quicker all in all). Check in was super quick. But the room, albeit clean, had a very strange smell to it and the squeakiest beds I've ever known. Initially thinking the smell was the extremely loud air-con unit, we turned this off to try and sleep. Both of us the next day woke up with terrible sore throats and the air in the room felt extremely damp. So we turned the air-con back on which seemed to fix this issue. One thing though is that with the loud air-con unit on through the night, this made it very hard to sleep. Again, this was great for location, but everything else needed fixing/refurbishment so if you can afford a newer hotel close by and this price difference is worth it for you, then do so.
Cheap and cheerful, a good base.

After looking at reviews before staying here, we were a bit dubious, but after staying here, we were pleasantly surprised. All staff we encountered were very friendly and the location is great, as to get to Disney just had to walk over the road to the Disney parking lot and takes only about 5 minutes. The hotel itself was nice, and comfortable. Yes the rooms are a little dated compared to others in the area, but was a good base. My only real negative, was the size of the beds, a little smaller than we were used to, but made it work. Also the bar is only open during Friday evening and weekends, so keep this in mind if looking for a night cap before bed etc. If your looking for a cheap and cheerful base for your time at Disney, you can't go wrong to be honest.
