Lack of Transparency in Pricing
wegan1958 (West Melbourne, Florida) on Mar 27, 2025
Full disclosure, I have not even stayed at this Fairfield Inn yet and I am already disappointed with their lack of transparency and their money grab. I have booked 2 stays at the Fairfield, this one will b...e the first of two. Our stay starts on Friday March 28th but I was prompted to check in today. Ok, fine. During the process, it was indicated there will be a $25 parking fee per night to self park. Using Marriott Bonvoy, I specifically checked the box that said price the room with all taxes and fees. I chose the Marriott based on the room price and taxes and fees displayed. Now, at check in, I'm told I must pay $25 per night to park on site. Tell me this up front when I am booking. When I chose price the room with all taxes and fees, that is my expectation. Don't make me look somewhere else on the website to see there may be a parking fee applied, I should not have to hunt this down. Be upfront and totally transparent and yes I do understand not all people need to park a car on site. As I mentioned earlier, we also have another stay booked. My wife and I, and 2 other couples have 3 nights booked at this Fairfield in May. I am going to talk to the others and re-evaluate the decision to stay at the Fairfield Lake Buena Vista in May. All Taxes and Fees should mean just that in the initial room pricing.
Free breakfast gets my vote

Breakfast for free is awesome and well worth saving some cash when going to Disney. The hotel is close to the highway and pretty quite. There is a Wawa gas station right in the same plaza to get snacks and... water for your day. Don’t love that it’s in a shopping plaza and parking is limited but a few food options is a bonus.
Disappointing Stay – Wouldn’t Return

We stayed at this hotel for just one night, and unfortunately, it didn’t meet our expectations. The hotel felt outdated and not very clean—our room had a strong musty smell, and we had issues with the door... not working properly. When we arrived, we asked about checking in early(gold members) and were met with an unfriendly attitude from the front desk staff. Interestingly, her demeanor changed completely once check-in time officially began. On a positive note, the breakfast was surprisingly good, which was the one highlight of our stay. Overall, I wouldn’t choose to stay here agai
Good service -sad hotel

The hotel staff is absolutely lovely. Wonderful and helpful. For a three star hotel, physically the hotel is tired. It’s seen better days: 1. The first night the refrigerator was vibrating and the air-co...nditioning was either too cold or too hot. I am certain the thermostat is not synched correctly. 2. The breakfast is kind of weak as the bread isn’t fresh and limited choice ( it’s fine for why you are paying for the hotel). 3. The shower head is old and the shower has no water pressure, so definite calcification of clogging in the pipes….. something is not right and at least they could add a hand shower. 4. The mattress has seen better days too. Definitely needs to be replaced. 5. The ventilation system in the gym doesn’t work and the air quality is truly unacceptable. I couldn’t fall asleep till 2:30 am each night and not because of jet lag but simply the room is really not great.
Good value

Comfy beds. All else works well. Recommend for good value. Close to Disney and easy to find. Friendly staff. I would recommend it if you’re looking for value and convenience as well as breakfast included.... Biscuits were good. 2 sinks in the room was a nice touch
