Be aware, especially uk visitors, there is a parking charge of $25+tax daily and $170 deposit due on arrival !

leor1974 (Falkirk District, United Kingdom) on May 23, 2025

We are at the Sheraton just now and have been before. We booked with virgin holidays and the resort is beautiful, pools, grounds and apartments are lovely, clean, well kept with everything you need they ev...en supply washing powder for the washing machine, wash up liquid , kitchen roll and well stocked with table wear. I’d say 5* but what lets it down are some of the staff and new charges which have been introduced. When we arrived we were informed parking was $25 +taxes a day and were asked for a deposit of $170 which would be returned when checking out. That was nearly $600 we had to give before we had even put our bags in the apartment ! ( although we had booked 2024 before the charges for parking started) also we had messaged customer services before the holiday to request a Bella apartment as we had been there before and loved the area with no reply , even if they could not help it would be nice to get a reply and we asked that night as well to the reception staff who were not helpful asking us to check with virgin ( virgin when asked stated nicely it was the hotel that dealt with this) the reception staff did not even try. This is why only the 3 stars and that’s being generous. Owners of villas do not have to pay the parking fee. I do have to say again the resort is stunning , most staff lovely and helpful, it’s clean, near Disney, old town Kissimmee and all local attractions. Having a balcony is amazing but I think the charges for parking is far too high and may stop some from visiting this resort. If you have booked prior to 2025 check with the holiday company before you go as you may still have nearly $600 to hand over on arrival. Also it’s $20 an hour to have a later check out.

Beautiful pool, family friendly (except for our drunken neighbors who yelled at their infant for crying)

lauraeW845YF on May 23, 2025

My family have chosen this report 3 times in a row now based on the amazing value for the price. We love that the pools are kid-friendly but not overrun with screaming/rude children. The Bella pool is e...normous and great for relaxing and playing with our toddler. The poolside restaurant is incredibly convenient, though on our most recent visit they messed up our orders 7/7 times, all minor things like forgetting sides, condiments, messing up special requests; since we never sat close to the restaurant and service is slow, it was never worth it to walk all the way back over and say something (our food would have gotten cold in the time it took to do that.) Just annoying. I highly recommend requesting an updated room - it’s a major upgrade from the ones that aren’t. For fitness - The fitness room next to the marketside is geared towards cardio and has a bunch of treadmills and ellipticals, all top-of-the-line models. I found the weight lifting area to be on the small side and a bit crowded, but we all made room for each other and it was fine. I also tried a HIIT class hosted for free by the resort, and it had a lot of potential but the heaviest weights available were 5-lb, for me that isn’t enough for even a moderate workout. Most recently we stayed in a room that had a mold issue (we were in building 26); it was growing on the windows, porch, and worst of all our shower was disgustingly moldy. Fortunately the cleaning staff cleaned the moldy shower halfway through our stay, but I suspect the room needed a full blown mold remediation to fully address the issue. We didn’t notice mold issues during previous stays in other buildings, nor did my parents notice any mold in their room when they traveled with us. We have never had issues with neighbors until our recent stay. First we had neighbors who cooked odorous dinners each night and the smells seeped into our room. When they moved out we were relieved, but then the couple moved in one day later could be heard yelling at their crying baby from early morning to night. One night there was loud, angry shouting and the cops showed up. When we mentioned it to the front desk the next day they couldn’t have cared less and told us we should have called security, but why would we call resort security when the cops were already there? Overall, I’d say the best part about this resort is the price, and I’d consider one more chance, but I’m starting to wonder if the price point is a little too inclusive. The mold and section-8 neighbors were definitely not pleasant.

Great location and amenities. Nicely updated rooms

bchen44 (Fort Lauderdale, Florida) on May 16, 2025

Went with wife and two toddlers to Disney for a week and stayed here. Very convenient location about 15 minutes drive to any of the Disney parks. There is also a Publix right down the street which is nice ...to pick-up food to make or prepare to bring to the parks. We were placed in a small 1 bedroom villa in building 23 in the St. Augustine Village which was great. I forget where, but I did read this was the newest of the villages so maybe that's why the rooms were so nice. A smaller villa was plenty of space for the whole family with a living area with sofa bed, kitchen with pots and pans and small dining table as well as balcony with mosquito nets. Bathroom was humongous and very clean and updated. Bedroom was large with large king bed and new furnishings. Everything was clean and seemed recently renovated or at least very well cared for. There is also dishwasher in kitchen with cleaning tablets and washer and dryer with detergent. The location within the resort is right between the St Augustine pool and fitness center and Bella pool and fitness center. Lakes and bridges were beautiful and well kept with fish and birds. There are propane grills with seating scattered throughout for you to use. The St. Augustine pool is large with a pirate ship that the kids loved. The fitness center there is clean and large for a hotel with machines, dumbbells and cable system. The Bella pool is large with a splash pad and waterfall as well as separate "quiet pool" that was actually much noisier because adults only are there blasting music. The fitness center here is much smaller but has a sauna and steam room. The Breeze Bar & Grill is right next to the Bella pool and fitness center and seems nice enough. We didn't eat there but ordered pizza which was large and reasonably priced. It was quite good too and probably the most cost-effective option in the area. I can't comment on rooms in other villages that people complained about, so maybe just request St. Augustine rooms and you'll be happy. It does suck to pay for parking, but that's also stated when we booked through Marriott app so wasn't a surprise.

More like an Airbnb with no services

John C (Denver, Colorado) on May 11, 2025

This hotel thinks they are an Airbnb. They ask you to strip the beds, run dishwasher, take trash out, etc when there was no room service for 7 days. In a two bedroom they gave us 6 towels that we used for ...a few days and then gave us three-ish more and told us we would be charged for anymore towels. No room service and expecting guests to do the hotels work is nuts. On the bright side The pools were nice. The kids had fun playing in the pool.
