The place was awesome! Had paddle boats, bike riding. The deluxe 1 bedroom had all updated amenities, it had a water park, several pools. It had a grocery store, bowling alley, game room. It also had tennis courts, and bar/ restaurant on the grounds! It was clean and beautiful!

Great place to stay for couples or families

Phyllis C on Jul 31, 2024

My husband and I went to celebrate our 47th anniversary, really just to take a breather and relax for a few days. The resort/hotel in itself is spectacular! We were very happy with our accommodations, we rented a 1 bedroom jacuzzi suite. Nice full kitchen, huge (2-person) jetted bathtub and enormous shower that my whole family could have fit in! The couch and chairs in the living room are wet “leather” and very uncomfortable. We pulled the coffee table close and put a pillow under our legs to make a faux recliner. Our plan had been not to leave the resort, lots of restaurants and cafes right there, and we had stopped at the Walmart (right across the street) to grab a few drinks, things to munch on, etc. However, the prices were so exorbitant that we ended up leaving for every meal except breakfast. Cereal and pop tarts lol. Otherwise than that, all was great! Things are close, restaurants, parks, stores, anywhere you would want to go or see is right there. Even a water park right next door.

Timeshare scam

Antoine L (Montreal, Canada) on Jul 26, 2024

BEWARE OF THE TIMESHARE SCAM. We arrived during the night; all went well. We checked in and went almost directly to bed. The condo was small but fine. The office chair is a patio chair, not comfortable at all. It is manageable for the time being. Our request for additional pillows was denied, and the WiFi cannot support more than 2 connections. It was fine until the neighbor arrived, and then we lost bandwidth. It's very disappointing for a resort in Florida. Now for the scam: Early the following day, I received a phone call offering me a tour of the hotel site in exchange for a complimentary breakfast, $100 in credit card money, and water slide tickets. We arrived and were pulled into a timeshare sales pitch that lasted almost three hours. The breakfast needed to be more legible and worthless. Then comes the presentation. In the 3-hour presentation, 15 minutes is about the hotel site. The rest is a timeshare scam. The problem is they don't take NO for an answer. They return fire with a discount, a manager sales pitch, or a different offer, and they pressure you to sign. Otherwise, the offer is no longer valid. Who TF cares. It's no wonder an armed security guard is on-site; some guests must lose their minds occasionally. I work in sales, and I know how to manage the situation. It's just despicable how they try to close a sale. How is it possible that management tolerates this freakshow? It's totally unprofessional. Once this shenanigan was over, we were hungry again. If they would tell you from the beginning it's a timeshare sales pitch, then I would simply answer NO. The issue is they lie to you and act like it's normal. Avoid Westgate Lakes Resort and Spa, they are sharks, scammers and liars.

Don't get membership from here all promises but nothing.

Friend got scammed by thi membership. Went in to get more info of this so called "ownership". Worst worst resort you could stay at. The breakfast is awful, the lunch is nasty and the sales personal who works there are the worst of them all. (I missed the brakefast, but one of the personal working there said the brakefast are not good) The sales personal(those who try to sell you the "ownership". I went in to get more info about the so called "resort" 2 days ago. The scammers who call themselves sales personal would make you feel like trash if you refuse to not get the membership. They will give you crazy deals just for you to sign the contract. They will treat you "well" until you said i will think about it. I've even saww them raising their voice to one client. To me this lady said "wow so you stated you get this much money and you dont want to pay this cheap membership?? it doesnt make sense we even gave you a crazy deal and you still refuse to accept it. She also said: Crazy good luck keep searching while sticking out her tongue.
