We were very comfortable staying here

lifeisverygood2 (Gilbert, Arizona) on Sep 05, 2024

We stayed at this property for one night and we were very comfortable here. There is absolutely no freeway noise and no street noise, either. It's an older property and you can tell that there's a little "wear and tear" around, but nothing that would keep a person from having a good stay. The rooms are very spacious. There is a nice living area including a kitchenette so it's very relaxing. Our bed, the pillows, towels and bathroom amenities were all very nice. The breakfast was enjoyable. We would definitely stay here again if we were traveling through this area.

Rats, dog pee stench, injury exacerbating, sagging old beds.

mmm772018 (Los Angeles, California) on Sep 03, 2024

HORRIBLE. *All* beds are VERY old and worn out (per word of the staff). If you've got back trouble, it's untenable/pain provoking, like level 12 out of 10 on pain scale, not a small inconvenience. Mattress sagging so badly/so soft, I'm still in pain. Room REEKED of dog pee near couch-so, couldn't sleep on couch, since bed was killing my back-not that I want to couch-sleep, on vacation. The temporary chemical cover-up caused headache, then dog pee stench promptly returned to couch area-very strong. A RAT was *continuously scratching behind our headboard* at night, in room 321. No relocation option for 2 nights b/c: sold out Labor Day weekend. Bernie (front desk) & Carlos (engineering) are LOVELY-did their best, but this was worst hotel stay I've *ever* had, anywhere. Wasted precious time & hard-earned money-1st trip in years during a hard time of loss in our lives-we really needed a peaceful get-away. It was stressful, awful, not relaxing at all (packing/unpacking more than once didn't help, esp w/ physical pain and exhaustion-idk about you, but I do not sleep well in pain, w/ scratching rats around). Dirty outside-dog pee staining outdoor concrete areas, trash overflowing for days. We saw a roadrunner **with a rat in its mouth** outside the gym, which made the little bug in our bathroom seem like no big deal. Then a giant, extended family totally monopolized entire pool area for 12+ hours-no exaggeration-screaming kids (teens thru infant aged). BBQing, music of their choice, staff did not clean up after them, so trash/debris & pool filthy the next AM (green & cloudy). We couldn't use pool in 108+degree weather, it was like being a prisoner in a nasty room, b/c relaxing by the pool was the extent of our plans). Also, not enough food for rest of the guests at breakfast; b/c of exceedingly large party, kitchen was short on food. Seriously had to scrape bottom of the buffet's bain marie with a teaspoon in order to muster 1/2 bowl of oatmeal. We were about to leave/end our vacation early, we were so miserable. Then Carlos found us a room (TG, because we would've had to spend who-knows-how-long on a call with the 3rd party trip booking company, to resolve our cancellation/early check out). Still-I had to pile many layers of towels/sheets (w/ someone's stray earring back included-yuck-super gross) for adequate mattress firmness. They have no roll away beds, I was told I was lucky to get extra towels/linens to use as "bed padding" to firm it up to be able to sleep at all. I also had to sleep in fiancé's leather weightlifting belt (wish I was joking) for support. That saggy bed (and they were correct, the 2nd room's bed was even worse) caused severe, ongoing back + hip pain. Our concession? Bonvoy points. We will *never* be back & now we don't trust Marriott-this particular property's a franchise, we know that *now*. Still, it was a horrific experience. And it's clear that they throw their staff under the bus, they're understaffed, stressed and I was told that they do not listen to feedback from employees, rather, only to complaints from guests. They must have their hands full with that. It's a shame that they don't care and lose long-term business by cutting corners and trying to make the unacceptable squeak by. Causing injury is just not OK. Filth is not OK. Rats are not OK. Stealing people's valuable time is not OK. It would be comedy, if it was not so egregious. Believe me, I wish it was different. Live and learn, I guess. Never again.

Perfect One Night Pass Through

Harris David A on Jun 02, 2024

Enjoyed our one night stay here. The staff was polite and offered complimentary water. Our suite was roomy and well appointed, even if a tad bit dated. Most importantly, I was eady on time and clean like it should be. The good breakfast was an unexpected bonus, even if Marriott has the world’s worst coffee. ??

Do not stay here if you like to sleep at night

karlas757 (Sioux Falls, South Dakota) on Mar 20, 2024

Horrible experience for a family of 5. Arrived late after a long day of travel and activity. Had a 2-bedroom suite w/2 queen beds. There was no bedding for the sofa bed which we need for one of our children to sleep on. After several requests was told that they couldn’t deliver it to us until morning. Used towels for pillows and blanket to try to sleep on the bed (gross!). At 2:30 am smoke alarm started beeping from low battery. Was told that there was no maintenance available until 7:30am. After 5 hrs of little to no sleep, we were all exhausted and cranky for the entire day (ruined that day of vacay for our family). Do NOT stay here if you hope to get any sleep while away from home!!
