Not a fan of the valet
Emily G (Los Angeles, California) on Jan 08, 2025
My only complaint is the valet!!! The valet in the morning is so unhelpful. In the first occasion I was checking out and he didn’t offer at all to help me with my suitcase. He watched me struggle to open m...y car as my suitcase rolled down the sidewalk. He stared at me non stop and didn’t help me at all. The second time I checked out he didn’t help again!!! It’s funny cause a lady waiting for her car offered to help me! I don’t know if they are told not to assist with luggage but it’s so weird he just stands there while I’m struggling. The night valet is interesting. I requested my car 15 minutes before I came down because it ALWAYS takes 15 minutes for it to arrive. And he yelled at me saying I requested it so long ago and he had to deal with the cars in the streets and some random excuse??? So I told him doesn’t it take 15 minutes to come and he said no?? So the next morning I request as soon as I’m downstairs and OF course it takes 15 minutes and I’m running late. I have proof on my phone that I waited 15 minutes. I’m so confused.
Try Embassy Suites instead.

A group of us booked separate rooms for a wedding taking place. Firstly, when I checked in the person said I had not booked a king room, knowing I had, I opened my phone and indeed had booked 1 king and a... separate 2 queen room. One room being for our teen boys, the other for my husband and I. I suspect because we used hotels dot com to book, we were given rooms right off the elevator. Our sons were given a room with a broken door sensor, and other a bathroom door that had no latch, so it couldn't be properly closed, much less locked. We were given a room a few doors away, with stained furniture and near apparently the 5 am DAILY garbage/recycling pick up. 3 aunts/ 2 uncles never heard this as there rooms were off in different parts of the hotel. (they booked direct) We originally had booked the loft directly with the hotel, because it said it slept 4 - when I looked closer at our reservation I realized it was a fold out couch, and we were staying too long for our 6'+ boys to sleep on a fold out couch.. The better prices was on Hotels. Ok, also upon check in they charged an additional $225 hold per room - and couldn't explain why. It wasn't until check out that I fully understood the charge and that it was a refundable daily incidentals hold. So the staff might be trained better to explain their policies. It is a good location. There is a lot within walking distance, and a parking garage that only charges $23 a night compared to their ridiculous fee.
