Check in is a gong show as there is only one clerk to perform this function; there were approximately 30 people in line behind my wife and I and we were there for over an hour and a half. Our stay was 10 days and the clerk indicated that the "weekenders" already had rooms assigned to them and as we were "long stay" he would give us a room for two nights but to return Sunday morning and he would give us a "nicer" room. The first room's air conditioning was a constant 28 degrees Celsius, the shower faucet moved side to side when turning on the water and the patio door latch was bent and would not latch secure. Sunday we had a different clerk who was not going to give us a "nicer" room until we had a conversation involving the supervisor; we had to check out and re-check in and wait four and a half hours for a replacement room (the clerk said with a smug grin on his face it was next on the list for cleaning; we went to see for ourselves and there were no cleaning staff around. Where is the Guacamole; none to be found anywhere? The specialty restaurants were fine (Mexican one was great...still no Guacamole though..) but the buffets (we were staying at the the Adult side and had access to the Family side buffet as well which was adjacent) were disappointing. If you had pancakes with syrup on the adult side the wasps would swarm you!! Ironically there is a note on the bottom of the menu's which states the Consumer is responsible if raw or undercooked fish and meat are eaten; all buffet fish was undercooked and hamburgers at all of the snack locations were pink. When were the beach lounge chairs last cleaned?? We were celebrating a birthday (they were informed when we booked the trip) and when I asked if there was anything special offered the Concierge said there is a piece of cake delivered to the room but it could not be done on the special day as the list had already gone out for staff delivery; this was at 10am and no exception could be made. Happy times! The webpage made this resort look awesome but in reality it needs work everywhere; advertised as 5 star, not sure which Galaxy they were using.....

As I stated in my survey statement, I was very disappointed with the air conditioning problems and the 1st four (4) nights we were moved from room to room and I was very upset about the amount of money I spent! Almost $3,800. Overall, I love the resort but my experience this trip was not what I had expected and I was concerned for my mom's health.
