Good value, a ton of fun

This was a great experience for our family. The resort is lively and busy with lots of families and people of all ages having fun. The ocean is right on your doorstep and everywhere you look there is something to do or see or enjoy! The restaurants and buffet have a wide selection for everyone. Be sure to say hi to Salvador at the buffet. He's awesome!

Pros: The single saving grace for Samba Vallarta was the Spectacular Customer Service provided by “Salvador” at Breakfast and Lunch. “Salvador” actually practiced Real Customer Service. Always with a friendly smile and willing to go the Extra Mile to make my stay as comfortable and enjoyable as possible. Cooked Long Grain “Oatmeal” was not available at Breakfast. “Salvador” wanted to make my breakfast as enjoyable as possible and after explaining how Breakfast Oatmeal is Cooked and Served he made the request to the cook and produced a perfectly cooked bowel of hot delicious oatmeal for my breakfast. Please allow “Salvador” to enlighten and uplift all the other restaurant and buffet servers on how to provide Great Customer Service with pride and respect that comes when people are make to feel welcome and appreciated. Simple Attentive Customer Service with a Smile and Eagerness to make Customer Experience most enjoyable and memorable. The “Tall” Server who “single handily” took care of all the customers for the “Italian Food” Special Dinner also provided World Class Service and attention to detail and presentation. The young girl who handed out the towels by the pool was always happy and very helpful and always greeted me with a smile when picked up a beach towel. All of these great servers and attendants were awarded generous tips and appreciation. Cons: The hotel is rundown and desperately needs remodeling. The Ocean View Deluxe Room was terrible with large rust stains covering most of the bathroom countertops, broken tiles and sloppy sealant in the cracks and corners. Think Very old Motel-6. For those who do not know about Motel-6 they were once rented $6 per night. My room was a very dated and old Motel-6 and was not worth $6. Was unable to see the ocean from my ocean view deluxe room. Only a small view of particular ocean view if stood far corner of balcony and looked west. The buffet was the worst. The food was served in large buckets steamed by water. Meats were boiled and tasteless. Much starchy and unhealthy food potatoes, pasta, rice. Fish, pork and chicken stewing in grease. Meats were always boiled. No Carving Stations for Prime Rib,Roast, Turkey or Ham. No custom pasta bar or special cooked preparations per customer requirement. In short stay for “Salvador” Customer Service. Go to local restaurant for food. Recommend: ZENIZAS For Wood Griiled Steaks and Full/Half Bar-B-Que Ribs. “Fat Guy” Seafood on the beach is good but Very Expensive. 1800 pesos Shrimp and Lobster Dinner.
