This is the second stay at Samba Vallarta for my Dad and I. The grounds are very well kept and the staff are always working diligently to keep it neat and tidy. Plenty of lounge chairs and umbrellas around the pool and on the beach. We did request a pool view room with balcony however there were no two-bed rooms available facing the pool, so instead we got a first floor balcony room next to the laundry facility that faced a tarped fence of the hotel next door. Not ideal but it is what it is. I enjoyed the buffet a lot more this time around than the first time. I knew what to expect for food which I think helped. The buffet is very Mexican (to be expected) but there is always something for everyone, in my opinion. The à la carte restaurants are just ok. The pasta at the Italian restaurant is always SO salty for some reason, it was like this last time too and I didn't really enjoy it. However the soups and appetizers are usually really good and my Dad enjoyed the beef at both the Mexican and Italian restaurants. We would like to give a special shoutout to the following staff members for their wonderful service: Alejandro, Luis, Kori, Alexis, Salvador and Carlos.

Review of Samba Vallarta Our group of 14 recently stayed at Samba Vallarta, and unfortunately, the experience was far from what we expected for an all-inclusive resort. On a positive note, the staff were friendly and accommodating, always trying their best to assist us. Their hospitality was one of the few highlights of our stay. However, the resort itself left much to be desired. The rooms were outdated, with old furnishings and decor that gave a budget feel rather than the comfort and luxury we anticipated. Although clean, the accommodations were uninviting and in need of serious upgrades. The food options were a major disappointment. For a group of our size, the lack of variety quickly became an issue. To make things worse, there was no coffee bar or early-morning offerings, which was especially inconvenient for those of us who like to start the day with a fresh cup of coffee. The biggest frustration was the constant extra charges. Despite being marketed as all-inclusive, nearly everything beyond the basics came with a fee. For instance, after the first round of beer or coffee in the room, additional servings were charged, which completely undermines the all-inclusive concept. On top of that, we were charged for a toddler getting sick on the sheets—an absurd and unreasonable policy that left a bad impression. In the end, while the staff’s friendliness was appreciated, the outdated facilities, lack of food options, and hidden fees made this experience extremely disappointing. We would not recommend Samba Vallarta to friends or family. The resort needs significant improvements in both transparency and quality to meet expectations.
