Not the best, not the worst

Rooms had working AC for first few days, after that they stopped working. Maintenance would come and spend a lot of time trying to fix it, would say it will start working in 30 mins and we would go back to... the room and it still wouldn’t be working. Our last day the ceiling broke apart and starting falling off in the bathroom from the heat and moisture. Food was ok. Pool is crowded with locals on weekends. Entertainment was good, nice beach but could be raked more from seaweed. They had a tractor one day it looked like then one other day we saw the raking it by hand. Try and get a good spot on the beach under the trees for shade because there are no cabanas. Workers speak little English. Aesthetically pleasing resort, good wifi in room, beach and in lobby. Pizza bar and taco bar were good at night and snack bar food was good. A la cartes were decent. Buffet was hit or miss. We all were ill the last few days but not sure what could have caused that. Overall ok but not worth what we paid unfortunately.
