BEST VACATION EVER!

This is my first ever trip review and that’s because this place deserves many accolades. My wife and I just returned from an amazing stay at this beautiful resort. We were celebrating our anniversary and... my birthday. We stayed in the castle section and our room was perfect. We could walk out onto our first floor balcony and admire an unobstructed view of the ocean. Our butler Eric Gonzalez was attentive to our every needs. He made us feel like family. He even surprised us with a little birthday and anniversary gift in our room. If we needed anything it was just a phone call or text and Eric took care of it. We are already missing his smiling face. The resort grounds are beautiful and impeccably kept. Our first day there we met Emmanuel Pablanco at the pool. Emmanuel hooked us up with a poolside cabana and ensured it was available for us whenever we needed it. He went out of his way to make sure we were comfortable and relaxed. Again, another employee who made us feel like family. As a matter of fact, everyone at this resort made us feel like family. The food was good, the drinks were tasty and the place was GREAT, GREAT, and GREAT!!!
Easter Week 2025 Castle Honeymoon Suite
Dave R (Sewell, New Jersey) on Apr 26, 2025
Amazing trip with my wife for a rare getaway without the kids. We upgraded to the Castle Honeymoon Suite category which we loved. Butler Angel was fantastic and you communicate with then with WhatsApp. We ...enjoyed the food very much with dinners at Wok, the Steakhouse, and their Italian restaurant. We had lunch at Blue Marlin twice. The ambiance of all the restaurants and the beautiful resort were pluses. We walked daily on the beach next to the resort which stretched down a decent way and security took note of our suite number when we left. I also used the gym several times and that was nice and spacious. The resort did not feel too busy even though this was during the week right after Easter. We did room service a few times as well and enjoyed the Buffet breakfast. The SPA was also worth doing. We are quiet people and just wanted an adults onmy quiet relaxing getaway. The pools and beach area were nice...some reviewers note the smallish beach area but it was no issue as we walked next to the resort. No idea how anyone could complain? Thank you Sanctuary for a nice trip!

Sanctuary is a beautiful property, but as well managed very clean and very much a perfect mix of lively, yet calm and tranquil. Very happy with our stay. I highly recommend this for a couples of all ages. ...The mix of all food options was incredible. Frank our butler was so attentive over WhatsApp and in real life he provided a lot of comfort!
Even Better the Second Time—Sanctuary Cap Cana Delivers Again
Beyond_YXU (London, Canada) on Apr 23, 2025
This was our second visit to Sanctuary Cap Cana, and somehow it managed to exceed our already high expectations from our first stay in April 2023. We had just spent a week at the lovely new Marriott in Mic...hes, but we wanted to be closer to the airport before our return flight home. From the moment we arrived, the service was warm and attentive. The arrival experience here was dramatically elevated compared to our arrival at the Miches resort--that's the Luxury Collection difference, I guess! We appreciated having someone take our luggage, offer us cool cloths, and serve us that unique and refreshing welcome drink we had enjoyed so much the first time. It was early (noonish), so we were invited to enjoy lunch while they finished getting our room ready. Less than two hours later, they contacted us and escorted us to the charming two-story building adjacent to the main lobby. We were thrilled to be upgraded from our entry-level King Junior Suite to a Premium Luxury Junior Suite, The suite was spacious, beautifully designed, and featured a large private deck with comfortable lounge chairs and a hot tub—all overlooking the pools and the sparkling ocean. It was the perfect space to relax in privacy while still soaking in the resort's vibrant atmosphere. We were delighted to be surprised with a delivery of a charcuterie tray and bottle of sparkling wine while we unpacked and took in our surroundings. The only disappointment was that Marriott has not replaced the generic industry-grade bath products with a more upscale line like L'Occitane, Ferragamo, Bvlgari, or Molton Brown. We enjoyed an excellent welcome lunch at Blue Marlin, where our cocktails and entrees were crafted with care and served with warmth and professionalism. After that, we enjoyed the pools and took a long walk past the other resorts on Juanillo Beach. We were glad to be returning to Sanctuary, which has so much more character than the generic concrete blocks elsewhere within Cap Cana. One evening, we decided to try Wok, the resort’s pan-Asian restaurant. We did not realize a reservation was required, but the staff accommodated us after some initial hesitation and discussion with the manager—and we’re so glad they did. The food was absolutely delicious, the ambiance inviting, and the entire dining experience memorable. We also noticed a number of improvements since our last visit. The grounds and public areas have been enhanced, making the resort feel even more refined and serene. Everything from the landscaping to the lighting contributes to a luxurious and peaceful vibe. The only drawback remains the beach. While it is beautifully maintained, it’s still quite small, often crowded, and the water tends to be murky, which might disappoint travelers looking for that quintessential Caribbean turquoise. It’s not a dealbreaker for us, but worth noting if beach quality is a top priority. Overall, Sanctuary Cap Cana continues to be a visually stunning and well-run resort. It’s an ideal choice for a romantic escape or a peaceful getaway, especially if you're more about poolside relaxation and excellent dining than beach lounging.
