Good place, but a bit disappointing

My stay at Wyndham Altra was overall pretty good, but there were several disappointing aspects that affected the experience. One major letdown was that the water park and lazy river were under construction... during our visit, so we didn’t have access to them—something we had really looked forward to. Dining options were also underwhelming. Out of the four advertised restaurants, only one or two were open each day. The dinner buffet, in particular, lacked variety and often had many empty stations during the weekdays. Only on Saturday did the buffet feel fully stocked and worth the visit. While most of the staff were generally friendly, the service became noticeably less pleasant when asking for additional food. On multiple occasions, requests for more food were met with judgment or outright refusal, leaving us feeling uncomfortable and, frankly, still hungry. Some staff members even ignored us altogether, which made the experience feel unwelcoming—especially for guests who don’t have very small appetites. Overall, while the resort has potential, the limited amenities and inconsistent service were disappointing and detracted from what could have been a much better stay.

Very bad gust service specially Francisco from gust services!

I am writing to share my experience about my current stay at the Wyndham altera Resort in Punta Cana, which, regrettably, did not meet my family's expectations. During our stay, we had several issues with... service that significantly impacted our overall experience. On one occasion, after a long day, I returned to my room without a meal, and my children went unfed as well. When I attempted to address this concern with a guest service representative named Francisco, he dismissed He expressed no intention to assist, leaving us feeling unheard. Also one of the waiters, Adrian, who refused to serve us bottled water, stating, “you don’t get any bottle of water today, finito.” And was yelling at my family in front of the kids. Also the hotel has no entertainment for the kids at all, if you have kids go somewhere else where they can entertain them. I hope before booking you take this feedback into account when considering this resort, as our family's comfort and enjoyment were compromised and really feel very unsafe staying at this hotel.

It was an unforgettable experience going to this hotel! Customer service was excellent! They went above and beyond making every request I had possible, since day one! The activities were super fun, the foo...d was amazing! Everyone treat us like family! Entrance attendants: Simon. Ariady, Jesus, Elias (thanks for taking care of us) Animation: Ander, Rodrigo, Pedro, Ramon, thank y’all so much for always giving us such a good laugh and fun activities, and for loving what y’all do), we had a blast!!! Food: Arismendy, Rosa, Emmanuel, Clavel. They all went above and beyond when it comes to customer service!!! I really appreciated that! Bar: Kahum and Juan, always with the best smile every day and offering the best customer service experience! Thank y’all for making every day of my stay at the hotel a good one.
