If you are looking for a quiet holiday this is not the place for you. There is no way of avoiding the "entertainment" during the day - booming music and demands to party is ridiculous. The evening entertai...nment was consistently loud and terrible. On the plus side, the room was very nice and spacious, the layout of gardens and pools was good and the beach was nice.

Hello To start the driver who was not connected to the resort from the airport to the hotel and that was horrible. That’s another story. From arrival it seemed nice we were looking forward to a great time.... Day 1 went well only complaints our tub was dirty and the TV wasn’t working. We could live with that. Day 2 again all seemed well, service was timely and we were looking forward to the rest of our stay. The rest of the trip did not meet expectations. Called several times for linens, room service the food and time was not acceptable. Two hours for room service and then to be disturbed an hour later for the same order we placed. Calls to the front desk went unanswered and four calls for linen. Buffet service got slower and slower. Cook was rude when ordering breakfast. Last morning never received our drinks. Several people had issues with rooms and it was sad we were there for a family wedding. Lastly at the wedding we had some unexpected rain the servers disappeared left the food uncovered to get wet. The centerpiece was blown off the table onto my cousins head. No one came to assist, ask if he was ok, provide more drinks or food to the table. The hookah man was never at his post. I guess if we would have stayed 2 nights we would have been fine. Very disappointing because it is a lovely island and the site as far as beach and pool area was very clean. Oh and I forgot the cashier at the gift shop had an attitude for whatever reason. Nice experience but can’t say that I would return.

I agree with GoPlaces45199781671. My husband & I attened a wedding w fam. Our reservation was from 23-4- until 27-4. 1st room 3112 & 2nd room 3107 the next business day. On the evening of 23-4 I did call t...he front desk to complain about the moldy smell & was told someone would come by to try to alleviate the smell. No one showed up. We requested a change in rooms because the mold/mildew smell was at an alarming high level that woke us from our sleep because we have a mold/mildew allergy. Yet, here we are again waking up on night 2 of our 4 night 5 day stay unable to sleep in room 3107 as well for the same reason. I was on the balcony from 3:30 am until 7am when I went to the office to request another change. My husband was also unable to sleep in room 3107 & woke up at 5am because his chest felt tight when breathing so he went on the balcony to get relief. We put on mask to get some relief from the smell while we waited & packed to be moved again. I went to the office hoping to move & be settled into the next room early. I communicated that we need to move asap because we had a wedding at 1:45, & that this is an inconvenience because now we need to move before the wedding. We sat in the Hideaway lobby waiting on the manager from 10:15 until 11am. No one showed up. We felt as if we were being avoided. We didn't speak to someone until after 11:45, still with no room ready for us. We had to unpack in room 3107 so that we can get ready & be on time. Due to this inconvenience it caused us to move in-between festivities which was after 4:30pm leaving us little time to properly get ready for the dinner party at 5:45pm. On 25-4 day 3 we were moved to room 2104 where we stayed for the remainder of our stay, nights 3 & 4. The mold was present there also. However, we stayed hoping we could at least sleep longer than the other nights. Besides, it seems the mold was everywhere. I have also walked past other rooms that were being serviced by the staff & lost my breath due the smell of it without setting foot into the rooms. House keeping failed to clean our room 2104 on 26-4. That's unacceptable to us. It was our last night & we were extremely tired so no, we did not complain because we checked out the next morning. The change in this room was not compatible to what we paid for. This room was for a wheelchair person with an adjoining room. We were still unable to sleep at night. We could not stay in the room without wearing a mask to block out the smell of the mold. The only relief was leaving the room. We did not request another change because we felt it wouldn't change what we were experiencing, since this was another building with the same problem. Our symptoms were runny eyes, runny nose, itchy ears, scratchy throats (turning sore), sneezing, a tickle in the throat that wakes us up coughing, & tight chest making it hard to breath. My husband suffers from back pain & Neuropathy in his legs causing him to need to rest throughout the day, which he was unable to do. This is unfare to your patrons who pay to relax as well as enjoy your facilities. When we arrived home on 27-4 we went to the Ear Nose & Throat Dr. On 29-4. We were both diagnosed w sinus infections & prescribed steroids & antibiotics. This is very concerning as we do not wish to return to such a beautiful place to risk our health again. We feel as though the issue is because there are no ventilation fans anywhere in the rooms or showers. The water doesn't evaporate due to the lack of ventilation. The towels don't even dry by night time. My bathing suit hung on a hanger for 2 days & still didn't dry. That's a problem & a major health risk. Our concern is for the healthy well being of every guest & employee of the resort. As guest we pay good money to put our selves at risk of the side effects & long term illnesses that happens when mold/mildew is ingested. I would really dislike for such a beautiful place to cause health risk for guest & more importantly the staff who are here everyday risking their health to earn an honest living & care for the guest. I emailed the resort 29-4 & still have not heard anything to date.

My Husband and I had the most amazing time at the Royalton Hideaway, St Lucia from the moment we arrived and throughout our two week stay. The hotel location was beautiful and everyone was so friendly and... staff always spoke and said 'hello' when passing even when they were just walking about the resort in transit from one area to another. I have mentioned this because it really annoyed us that other reviews have commented about how rude staff can be and we wanted to clarify we did not find this the case under any circumstances! Also we note a number of comments about the hotel not being Adult only and we will say that if only people would read things properly they would see the Adult only section is only a bit of the complex which by the way, was absolutely fine with us as the main complex was as excellent as the rest. The restaurant, bar, housekeeping staff were always courteous and helpful throughout our stay. We would like to give a special mention to out Butlers Raymond and Kurtney, who always gave us friendly courteous attention right up to making sure we sure the private transfer service to the airport we booked all went smoothly. Also a big thank you to Sari in the Pisces bar and Carcashe in the Aquarius bar for their chats and great service. The hotel itself was clean, and the rooms very comfortable. The grounds beautifully looked after. We booked a private transfer to and from the airports which worked well and was very informative and scenic so athough the journey was 1.5 hours, it didn't seem that long. The only negative point was the 'packs' of noisy Americans of which most of them had no respect for other residents or staff! We would not hesitate to recommend this hotel to anyone wanting that 'special' holiday and we would certainly like to return in the future. It was the wonderful staff that made our holiday so special and memories we will treasure forever.

I could not have been more disappointed with this resort. The biggest issue is that it is advertised as "Adults only" and It is NOT. There are in fact actually 2 sections to this resort. The section that i...s considered, "Adults Only" applies only to the building you are staying in, one pool with a small pool bar, one outdoor bar with a small entertainment area, and one subpar restaurant. All of the other restaurants are a 5 minute walk to the area that includes families with lots of children. The majority of the entertainment is also on family side. The limited gift shops are also only on the other side. The beach, although nice, has a roped section that is supposed to divide the adults only section from family side. This was not honored or enforced. Even if it had been, there were lots of screaming kids nearby. There were lots of vendors on the beach that pestered you every single day. I don't mind once or even twice but they won't stop. I love kids but when you are paying for Adults Only Resort, I expect it to be just that. The resort also feels rundown and not well maintained. As an example, the only elevator in our building was not in service for an entire day. We were not greeted in a "resort way" with a welcoming drink and warm personality. The person who checked us in was lackluster in personality. The vibe and service in the resort is SLOW and Relaxed which can be nice at times but uncomfortable at others. Overall, the weather was excellent as were the drinks but only on the Adults Only side. The liquor selection at the other bars were low-end only. The entertainment was very good in the evening. When comparing to other resorts, the best I can give it is a 2 and I would not return because it is NOT Adults ONLY!
