It’s not what you think!

Very crowded. No place to park. Got checked in promptly and room is newly renovated so great. Nice view. Now to late lunch - at 3 pm we sit down at their Rum beachfront restaurant. First thing server say...s is ‘we are so busy I don’t even have the ability to take your order!’ Yes seriously. A half hour later we ordered. Still waiting for lunch to arrive. Tons of loud people here.
Great second visit to updated Sirata Resort

This was our second visit to Sirata. First visit was 3 years ago, and I was nervous this time about the recent reviews online. Happy to share that we had a great time at the resort and look forward to goin...g back. We booked through Hilton's website and also called Hilton to ensure we were in an updated room, which I think was key to our experience. Long review, as I hope this helps others who are considering staying here: - We got an email the day before our vacation stating that our double queen ocean view room was unavailable due to construction, but they instead automatically booked us into a Bay View King Jr Suite, and at a discounted rate for the inconvenience. This ended up being great for us, as the Jr Suite was much more spacious for our family than the regular double queen would have been. - Check in was easy. Checked in on the Hilton app before arriving at the hotel. Got to the hotel at noon on a Friday. There was one person ahead of us at the desk, we picked up our wristband keys, and our room was ready right away. - We had one of the recently updated rooms in building 1 (a significant refresh from the jr suite we had 3 years ago). No issues at all with our room. Fully remodeled bathroom with walk in shower, new cabinets and appliances in the kitchenette, brand new pull out couch perfect for our 2 kids to share, new king bed, mattress, furniture, decor, new tile floor instead of the old laminate floors I remember from last time. - Room was clean. We requested one cleaning during our 3 night stay, through the Hilton app, and that was completed no problem. At one point, we stopped at the front desk to ask for extra blankets and coffee, and they were delivered very quickly. - Both pools were great, pool side bar service is plentiful, and walk up service at both bars was good. The entertainment staff was excellent. We took advantage of the daily snow cones, poolside bingo, live music, ping pong & foosball on the beach. The highlight for our kids was the well-organized Easter egg hunt on the beach, plenty of eggs and candy for all. My son was lucky to find the golden egg and won the big grand prize Easter basket. - The beach is beautiful, with soft sand. Did not rent chairs knowing there was an added cost, we brought our own beach blanket, which was no issue. - Did not order food from the hotel restaurants. Walked 10 minutes to publix the first day and bought food for breakfast and lunches, and then went out to neighboring towns for dinner all 3 nights. - No unexpected charges on our room upon checkout (which we also did through the Hilton app vs at the front desk). We understood in advance that there is a nightly resort fee (which is now the norm everywhere). We did not park a car and did not get charged a parking fee (had no need for a car, as we used Uber and the St Pete Beach FreeBee shuttle for transportation to Pass A Grille and John's Pass in the evenings). We chose not to charge any drinks to our room, just paid cash or credit card at the bars. - There was definitely construction going on at the hotel, which was expected, knowing the hotel has been going through renovations since the hurricane and their transition to Hilton. The construction was not terrible or distracting, just saw crews moving back and forth between the rooms they were working on, and some scaffolding on one exterior section of the building that was being painted. We had a fantastic visit, and look forward to coming back.
