Great experience highly recommend

Blue Haven was a great experience for us - the maids and cleaning staff were outstanding. Service for meals was a little slow but nothing outstanding. Breakfast was pretty decent (French toast was a must). Lunch options are good at the pool bar (chicken sandwich for sure). Both dinner options were also pretty good at Blue Haven (Beef Tenderloin/Filet Mignon/Local Seafood) One night they hosted a buffet - live singer event on the beach and Monique was AWESOME on stage, the food all around was very tasty. I don’t like seafood usually but the options here changed my mind…. The private beach was very relaxing and the staff is very quick to take any orders once they knew you were settled in. I must highlight the BEAUTIFUL WATER! The only complaint I’d have is not having a balcony but that’s not the end of the world. Alexandra resort beach was a nice change of pace as is a larger beach - we enjoyed both very much! I really do need to shoutout the staff here, 5 star experience because of them - Specific individuals below listed for really making this trip an amazing time (they deserve a raise $$) : Raymond, Makayla, Smiley, Pedro, Harryson, Cadet, Deland, Jen, T’ Ange, Nicola, Mikey, Daphne, Brandon, Natalie (I am sorry if I forgot any names!)

Do not get the "all-inclusive" package, and if you need a latte before 8am this is not the place for you!

The resort is easy to get around since it is on the small side which is a plus and most of the staff was friendly and helpful. The reason I gave it 4-stars is because I have been to a lot of all-inclusive resorts and the amenities and services are not at all what they should be. I paid $15k for a 7-night stay in their two bedroom penthouse with another couple so expected for the all-inclusive price to have a lot more than we had. Simple things like a robe and slippers even. We had robes day one and they took mine and never brought another one back. We ran out of paper towels which were not refilled for several days, and no matter how many times we asked the cleaning crew showed up around 4pm each day which was when we were all coming in to shower and get ready for dinner. There was a gigantic deck (which is included in the square footage) that had a small couch and 4 loungers on it with nothing else, it was weird. We did not even use it because there are no umbrellas for shade and the days were very hot. The food was ok, but very hotel like and the only snacks you can get between meals are grab and go items from a cooler that one day was covered in ants all afternoon. The all-inclusive part is around $2250/person and I am certain we did not get that level of food. If you go, I suggest not doing the all-inclusive, it was definitely not worth it! My biggest frustration and very first world problem was that you cannot get a latte until 8am when breakfast opens, which is frustrating when you are a morning person and up 5 or 6am. There was a $10 coffee maker in our room with 1 regular coffee and 3 decaf packets or you could get questionably fresh drip coffee in the lobby if you like that (I do not). They did have a market across the street where you could purchase one at 7am but I stood outside until 7:10am one morning and left because no one came. It was the same in the afternoon; no lattes after 3:30pm. They have watersport gear, but what we wanted had to be rented. The manager did ask about our stay while there and he was very nice and receptive to our feedback. He prepared a special dinner for us on the beach our last night for our 25th wedding anniversaries which is why we were there. Overall, it was fine, but it was very disappointing for our 25th anniversary. I definitely wouldn't go back.
