Amazing experience

Gerry C on Aug 23, 2024

My partner and I had an overnight stay that included a round of golf, meals and drinks (late night tapas, drinks and morning coffee & breakfast). The staff at the course, hotel, and lounge/restaurants offered top notch service. Thanks for spoiling us!

Disappointing

goslats (Malvern, Australia) on Aug 21, 2024

Currently staying at Fairmont Whistler as part of a tour across Canada, had high hopes as its a Fairmont but sadly did not live up to its name and reputation. It is a grand looking hotel, albeit dated. First day, there was a bottle of water in our room, and teas, etc. second day, no water or tea, not replenished. One of the restaurants on site was closed for a private function, no notification sent to guests to advise us, when we tried to attend this restaurant for dinner, after a long day sightseeing and hiking, we were advised it was closed. We proceeded to another restaurant in the hotel, which was near empty, the snooty maître d asked if we had a booking, i said no, as we were going to the casual restaurant that was closed and decided this was the next best option as we did not want to go into the main village. He told us he would see if they accommodate us, the restaurant was near empty, we both looked puzzled and decided to go to our rooms without any dinner as we did not need to be treated so rudely after paying to stay at this expensive hotel! This is the second Fairmont so far in this trip, unfortunately, we are not impressed so far

Wonderfully stay in a beautiful hotel

Journey67624237099 (Kirkland, Washington) on Aug 19, 2024

I’ve always wanted to stay at a Fairmont Chateau ever since I visited the one at Lake Louise so this summer, I decided to splurge and stay at the one in Whistler. It was nice from the start, pulling into this beautiful impressive building and greeted by the friendly bellhops, front desks staff. We bought our peak to peak day passes at the concierge desk as they helped our check the latest forecast up on the summit. All the staff we encountered throughout our genuinely helpful. We loved the restaurants especially the Portobello cafe and the BBQ lunch/dinner. The all you can eat brunch at the Wildflower was a great deal. Our deluxe room had a good view of the valley and it was quiet, clean, and the beds were very comfortable. Thank you for a wonderful vacation. We truly enjoyed our stay because of your hospitality.

Our Favourite Property in Whistler, but...

KonaRider13 (Richmond) on Aug 18, 2024

Always a lovely experience. However, prices are way beyond what is reasonable, especially when most service providers in Whistler (including this property) are understaffed. Front desk and housekeeping were awesome. The pool area and Mallard Lounge have been suffering for at least 3 years. It definitely pays to "look" wealthy if you want to get served.

The best hotel in Whistler

helloadventurefamily (Edmonton, Canada) on Aug 18, 2024

We love staying at the Fairmont Chateau Whistler. The rooms are incredible. New & renovated. The pool is absolutely incredible. We love having a day at the pool with cocktails & snacks. They have excellent food at this hotel. Mallard Lounge, Portobellos and the pool are all perfect places for an outdoor lunch. You will love it here! The beds are so comfortable and they have the best pillows too! 10/10 awesome!
