We had a great time visiting this particular stretch of beach, the sand is as white as you can get it. They maintain it beautifully. We didn’t have any seaweed issues, but there’s a reason why this is the ...second best beach in the world. The colour of the water and the sand, no rocks, is a paradise. Travel while you can. Must experience with this beach.

Everything was good, food & cocktails (puns colada is the best) were excellent, beach was awesome, there is a Russian language translator called Ernesto, he was very nice man, animation team is pretty good... It was good vacation, we were happy to spend here almost 2 weeks

This was our first time to Sol Varadero Beach and what a great experience it was. After many trip to Cuba both Varadero and Holguin we decided to try this resort as it is not too big with everything within... easy walking distance, and as always the best beach around. The rooms we spacious and very well kept. Mini bar was stocked and the cleanliness was outstanding with daily housekeeping service. Walk in shower with rain head always had hot water and great pressure. The pool snack bar is open 24/7 with great staff that were very attentive. Buffet always delivered on great food given the difficulties Cuba faces with shortages and the US embargo. We never went hungry! The a la cart restaurants were worth the experience, with the Italian and Mexican our favorites. The staff at the entire resort were very friendly and always there to make your stay the best experience possible. A shoutout to Carlos the general manager, Juan the food and beverage manager and Hernan the pastry chef. All three we very visible and there to answer your questions and any special requests. A special shoutout to our housekeeping young lady, Arelis who did a great job at keeping our room spotless each and every day. The 12 days we spent there were memorable and look forward to returning. Two things of note. First, stop bringing Canadian coins to tip, they can't take it to the bank. All they do is rely on us Canadians to exchange them for Canadian paper money, which make our luggage a little heavier coming home. Get some $1 US bills before your trip and tip with that for the great service provided by the entire staff. So don't be frugal, you spend thousands of dollars on a trip, so bring a few hundred $$ and make the lives of the Cubans a little better, they deserve it. Second, take a taxi or bus to town, it's worth the trip. If you are looking for a great restaurant I would suggest Varadero 60, they don't take credit cards so bring cash. Although we didn’t get all the upgrade perks it was still a great time. Hotel and food were quite adequate for Cuba. It is definitely a majority of Quebec French speaking cliental at the resort. What rea...lly stood out was our Bell Capt. and to go to person, Boris Kim. He was so efficient and professional and extremely helpful with any requests or questions. we came across. He was also a wealth of information on the area.
