A Lovely Pace to Stay
DRHCambridge (Cambridge, United Kingdom) on Nov 09, 2024
A large but quiet hotel. We heard no noise at all during the night despite two weddings. The "in-house" restaurant was nice too. We had a view overlooking the bay which was great. Bed was very comfortable and room a good size. Lovely shower. Sat on the patio in the morning for breakfast and watched the sea planes take off and land. A short walk to the town centre or to Fishermans Wharf (from where we took a whale watching tour). Highly recommended.
Nice Hotel.

When we arrived at the Hotel mid afternoon our room wasn't ready, we were advised it would be ready at 4pm so we had a coffee and a bite to eat in the coffee shop and went for a nice walk along the water side path way, on our return at 4pm the room was still not available so we sat and waited for some time, at 4.45pm we suggested to reception that we could have a drink on the terrace at their cost which they obliged and we had a very nice Dry Martini on the house, whilst it was very pleasant enjoying the ambience of the terrace we were keen to get to our room, it was around 5.15pm before we were given the keys ....We stayed in a Terrace Bedroom Suite which was huge, strangely though had minimal storage space and no where really to put your luggage. the bathroom was spacious with L'Occitane products. Very large balcony with seating...great view. King bed was comfortable..the air-conditioning in this room made a strange noise which was annoying when trying to sleep. There is one restaurant AURA and a coffee shop in the hotel...Aura serves a very good Asian fusion style of food, also cocktails are top notch, great coffee and food also in the coffee shop. The location of the hotel is excellent, within walking distance to downtown and most of the other points of interest in that area. Staff we encountered were all great.
