Lovely hotel in a beautiful location

I really enjoyed my stay at the Royalton. Staff were always very courteous but if you want over the top servitude you might not appreciate subtle hospitality. I felt welcome throughout my stay. Room was large with two double beds and a sofa bed. We faced the mountain and enjoyed the quiet so not having a sea view was fine. The food was excellent. I really appreciated that there was always Caribbean food at the buffet for breakfast lunch and dinner. I am of African Caribbean background and was happy to see food that I love. There was a wide range and I honestly think there was something for everyone. Cakes pastries donuts and mini sandwiches were absolutely amazing. We visited off season so the hotel was quiet. Beach was never overcrowded. Water was gorgeous. Entertainment wasn’t my thing but it’s no worse than other big hotels. Kids area was good and there were a mix of pools to use. Kayaks free to use too. If you’re expecting boutique then this is not the place.

Wasn’t horrible but definitely not 5 Star!

My first review was deleted but I got time!! First and foremost, the state of my accommodation was highly disappointing. Despite being advertised as a five star luxury resort, it did not live up to the hype. The rooms were clean but very basic. The resort grounds are beautiful but there was nothing else special about this resort, other than some of the standout employees that will be mentioned later. The first 3 days of my stay, the air conditioning was malfunctioning, making my stay very uncomfortable. And the food, especially room service, was mediocre. This resort desperately needs work in the food area because it is a major part of an any vacation. In addition to these issues, I was extremely disheartened by the treatment received from several of your staff members. On more than one occasion, my group and I were met with nonchalant and dismissive behavior when asking for simple requests such as a drink. Several employees lacked basic courtesy and just seemed very unenthusiastic about being at work. As customers, we can feel that type of negative energy. This level of customer service is unacceptable, especially at a resort that markets itself as a luxury destination. I trust that you will take these concerns seriously, as they reflect poorly on your overall establishment. Now for the standout employees - my assigned butlers Coniah and Errolson. Both of these guys are awesome. They were both super personable and incredibly attentive. Their dedication to ensuring my comfort and enhancing my overall experience was truly remarkable. And then there is Paul - he was not my assigned butler but this man is remarkable. He truly made my group and I feel valued and appreciated as customers. He went above and beyond and his level of professionalism, care, and attention to detail far exceeded my expectations. Another awesome person I want to recognize is the poolside bartender Kadeem. This young man had a personality out of this world. We described a drink to him that we had outside the resort and he went above and beyond without us even asking to mimic that drink. Next, there is Chef Louie. He was so polite and has a smile that could light up in any room. His culinary creations were simply phenomenal. Everything he made was prepared with the highest quality ingredients and presented beautifully. He really delivered memorable dining experiences and my group and I were so grateful for him. Thanks to the people mentioned above, my time at this resort was extraordinary. Please commend them for their hard work, as they truly are an asset to your resort. And please do not delete my review again because I have saved it this time and I will repost everyday if I have to. Good day!
